In fact at one time the largest mammalian terrestrial carnivore known as tremarctine bears or running bears endemic to North America and Europe . This was a complete carnivore not like bears today as evidenced by high nitrogen bone concentrations so was a killer of its time and lasted for 2.8 million years. Geological Timeframe : 1.8Million Years-1.5M years agoBlancan/Irvingtonian

Geological Period : Early Pleistocene 1.8MYA

Item Location: Columbia County, Florida

Item rating and description: 1-10 9.5 Maybe the only True Pristinus Short-Faced Bear 12.25 inches by 8 “ wide and 7” Tall Skull in the World. This is so unbelieveable as no one has this anywhere in this condition. This time I outdid myself on rareness as this ranks as the hardest animal to find in fossil records even greater than LaBrea Smilodon. Only scant pieces are ever found normally but here you have from sections a Complete Skull with little restoration. Most is on backs of lowers but I challenge you to find more. Even the zygos are short-faced bear. It is a perfect match on all defining characteristics of pristinus also with a written booklet with documents prepared for you showing each shortface bear and the differences. This is rarer than Simus. Try to find one anywhere as you won’t. I don’t know of any except partial one at Florida Museum. It’s so hard to find many paleontoligists can’t hardly tell but by this notebook you can tell easy. This took lots of work and time so you bear lovers better come see this one. All teeth are real shortface bear also so to have all teeth 100% real is amazing. Many crack fills occurred on this specimen. Your looking at history here and maybe the only 95% short-faced bone one anywhere. This grew into Simus-the larger one . I still can’t believe it. Look at this shortfaced bear. It is large. Simus evolved from this totally. You will not find this animal anywhere but at this site forever as it is not currently for sale. I figure the value is somewhere around $50,000 but you may call me and try to convince me you love it. It probably will end up at auction for much more than above quoted. If you love to follow bear history this is so great. This was prepped by one of top bear experts in the world also . This skull is going to auction soon so people can pay more a lot more This si sone of kind with a complete info on originality Plus so off to auction unless Call me to talk 706-235-2694

Geological Period: Late Pleistocene

Item Location: ALASKA 10,000 years old Simus

. Item rating and description: (1-10) *10 This is truly amazing . It is so rare to get a simus Lower as nothing is available anywhere from a skull . These Highly Original Giant Short-Faced Bear Lowers with all teeth plus 2 Huge Canines . It has some restore on the back of each but even most of that is original . I keep both sides not glued together so you can see it better. I guarantee no one offers this anywhere . Few have even pieces of this but a whole Lower with all Teeth is simply amazing . If I had the upper it’s a 100,000 piece plus . But I do have the lowers so for you a great price for a piece of History . One molar tooth is an amazing 1.25” and the canine is much bigger. Teeth alone without roots go for over 400 dollars apiece so these are valuable. This time I outdid myself on rareness as this ranks as the hardest animal to find in fossil records, even greater than La Brea Smilodon, or Dire Wolf. Few of these are present anywhere no matter where it’s found. I know no others out there are for sale . I get more requests for Short-face than most anything .

Amazing Rare Romanian Top Quality 18” CAVE BEAR

Species: Ursus spelaeus

Species description: Large Bear from Pleistocene that was previously only known in Europe but this which was larger than size of a grizzly and lived 20-25,000 years ago in Europe with large jaws and large bodies similar except bigger than modern bears. It lived in Europe at height of last Ice Age and hibernated in European Caves to survive the winters. One cave Dragonhole in Austria contains remains of more than 30,000 bears and many died in their sleep. It was hunted by Neanderthal people and was a vegetarian despite the size of teeth. They were found at many locations also in Romania , but now none are able to be exported including Russia.

Geological strata: Ice Age 40,000 years Old

Geological Timeframe: Pleistocene

Item Location: Cave Deposit Near Brasov, Romania

Item rating and description: Premium European ENTIRE CAVE BEAR SKULL 18” Long with High Bone Quality. All Teeth with x-Nice Canines are original. Even though it has a little restoration in front on top plus a little on bottom around the back of one lower and some in front. This is my best one due to teeth and overall appearance. Cave Bears are no longer found as this species is from an old collection, and no more for years have been discovered. They used to be found in caves all over Europe and Russia. The prices have doubled in the last year, and this one is really great. This is great bone quality, and pretty color. They go so fast I expect this will be gone in a very short time. The great ones go for 8,000-10,000 now, and this is every bit as good. I really feel once old collections are exhausted you will never find these so I’m buying up a lot to meet the insatiable demand on these. The color, no wear on teeth, and natural completeness is really amazing on this skull. I will not come down on this but will offer at low price, just can’t discount. These are such a great investment as the values will keep on rising and soon they will be like so rare only old collections will be sold. This is so rare now few dealers offer these. I bought everyone I saw this year so I’m the one to give you a great deal. One this good at an unheard of price is to your advantage. You just can’t find one this quality for this price anymore and it’s better than putting money in the bank on this one. Who gets 50-100% returns per year and this will do it. I told you it will happen and it will guaranteed I used to be able to get these anytime.

Rare Extinct Related to Short-Face Bear Tremarctos floridanus(Ancestor to Spectacled Bear) 9.5” Foot

Species: tremarctos floridanus - Part of same grouping in Tremarctinae part of Short-face Bear

Species description: One of the largest bears of all time that stood up to 5 ft tall at the shoulder and weighed 1200lbs less than the normal Short-face bear that existed as contemporaries from the Pliocene to Pleistocene Epochs 4.9 Million years to 11,000 years ago. In fact, at one time the largest mammalian terrestrial carnivore known as Tremarctine bears or running bears endemic to North America and Europe. This was not a complete carnivore but ate a wide variety of items but did kill animals for a living also like simus short-face bear. It started 1.5 million years before Simus so it is believed also to develop into the true short-face but evolved differently to remain in another form.

Timeframe: 4.9 Million Years to 11,000 years ago

Geological Period: Middle Pliocene -Late Pleistocene

Item Location: Marion Co., Fl. 100,000 to 200,000 years old

Item rating and description: (1-10) *9.3* All Original Tremarctos Bear the forerunner to Giant Short Face Bear Entire Left Paw 9.5” long by 7” Wide with 25 Complete Bones. 100% Original Bone with all complete non-broken bones. This is so wonderful to have an entire foot with 5 complete claws with sheaths as no one has this anywhere, I promise!! There have been only a few uncovered and does have some bones from different bears of the same species but they match so well. Bear claws are so rare that are extinct. Few of these are present anywhere no matter where it’s found. I’ve heard of scant material being found but nothing like this is for sale now at this site to my knowledge. These were large bears who started 1.5 Million years before Short-face and are in the same family with some evolving into Short-face and some going to be the now Spectacled Bear so these lasted longer than Short-face bears did. This is a must for a true bear collector. Here you have from mostly the same individual totally original set of 25 bones in the left paw with super claws!!! Claws if found have no sheath but these are perfect!!! Each claw of a Short Face bear is worth over $1000. Not even wear on these is evident. I’m selling at half the price of my short-face bear but it is almost as rare AND people don’t know this bear, showing its rarity!!!!
