Amazing Spectacular Rarest -of -Rare Highly Original Largest Hoplophoneus Saber- Cat Species Ever Found -Hoplophoneus Occidentalis

Species:  Hoplophoneus   occidentalis

Species description:   The long –legged Nimravid  saber-tooth cat (one of larger one)with razor –sharp sabers and the second earliest saber-tooth cat  that roamed North America beginning in the Oligocene Period 35 MYA -23 MYA .  These animals had a lot of physical characteristics  similar and exact
to  Smilodon including famous saber-guards and similar sabers while smaller . They stood at over 2 ft tall the size of a large bobcat, and were more of a group predator with a close knit families as  evidenced by  some  hoplos found together in death while overall very rare species hunting
an abundant food supply of grazing ungulates including camels  and oreodonts. Using their highly  developed saber-teeth they would likely sever the blood supply in the neck of their prey in the initial attack.

Geological strata:   Scenic Member of the  Brule  Formation

Geological Epoch-Early  Orellan  34 MYA

Item location :  Scenic , Shannon County, SD

Item rating and description: 14  Just a  Gorgeous  Rarest of Rare  Large 90%  Plus   ORIGINAL Hoplophoneus  occidentalis Saber-Cat  Skull  8 7/8” Long with 3 3/8 inch sabers . This cat was described by my top prepper  as the best one I ever had, as he has done over 10 this year alone for me  . This one is a true collector’s  DREAM item , and IM a collector so it’s mine and not available for sale . The sabers are so huge I have never seen any hoplo over 3 inches before , however this is a true prize . The first hoplo was primaevus 35 million years ago, and were small at that time only 5-7 inches long at most in the early years  , as they did get bigger with time up to 9” long . At 34 million years came a new huge holpo called occidentalis  which  appeared  and evolved from primaevus  ,and only lasted for 4 million years on the plains of South Dakota. Some primaevus got this large in latter years, but not at 34 million years  I contend  as occidentalis  species were very rare at this timeframe and smaller  . Most people know this occidentalis  species at least 10” long ,but  I believe  these were the later ones  at the 32-30 million years old  timeframe . This one was  very  early one and I believe as does 2 of my contemporaries  as one of first occidentalis  species for sure , however I must say one of my best friends and top authorities believes it to be a hoplo giant primaevus species , whose opinion I respect immensely . However ,below are the reasons .  I believe this is a true occidentalis early species  .  First my friend believes all occis must be 10” long but since I know for a fact this animal is at least 34 million years old (due to how low it was found in the strata which was the first of the occidentalis species due to the  timeframe.  I believe they were smaller at this time , and the ones he has are later of the species and not as low in the strata .  A pogonodon  that was found higher by 75 ft higher   was small one  when it first came 32.5 million years ago and got much bigger , and we found this  occi specimen much lower so we know it was at least 34 Million years ago . First of a  species always have characteristics of both when the lines evolve from each other which is the case here. Hoplo primaevuses  were smaller at this time frame than this specimen from observances by the finder –as many primaevus only 5-7 inches were found by him here  , and he knew this was special . This skull is 8.75 “ long, and the largest ever found in this area by far  . So all others found at this strata were very small,  but this skull is far larger in a very early timeframe for hoplos. . 4  million years made occis only 1-2inches longer as the biggest hoplo that ever existed ,  and since this is a female they were smaller than males  .  Many characteristics make me believe this is an occidentalis .  In fact, all characteristics to me even size fit occidentalis for this timeframe . First the postglenoid foramen are actually smaller per skull size in occidentalis than primaevus  as per Donald Prothero’s Book The Terrestrial Eocene –Oligocene Transition in North America  ,  and this fits this specimen . Next the paraoccipital process at the  back of head is reduced in size for occidentalis per skull size  ,and it appears for this specimen in comparison of primaevus  . How you tell these animals also is look at the saber guard. This specimen has  the guards   much wider and longer than a normal hoplo due to saber size . Also at the top of saber its almost an inch -15/16” wide ,  and wide throughout , and reg hoplos are never  more than 5/8 inches wide as they are quite –narrow .  Many times reg hoplos are under a half inch wide on sabers . Also the Upper Premolar 2 is absent in this species , and reg hoplos its not absent as all I have seen has an upper  P 2 including all the ones I have now   . This occi does not have P 2 on either side of the upper and the alveolus does not look covered over by bone , as my expert friend suggests may have happened in this case . I have never had one that P2 is absent even though in reg hoplos it can happens as extremely  knowledgeable friend suggests  .Basically the belief by some is if it’s  not  10”  long, it’s not an occi.  However an update after further review other characteristics that I and my friend believe it to be an occi .The huge curvature of the canine and rounded margins make it an occi   I’m using all the other parameters which show occi for me also  . The strata of the find suggests differently to me, as it is definitely one of the very early holpos, and it is huge .Since it is one of first  for sure of all hoplos(lower strata doesnt contain holpos only dinictises)  , I believe it would be smaller than the normal later 10” (1” off) occi   specimens. Anyway  it could be a tweener in the 2 species , but I believe strongly this is at minimum at least the start to the occi species and now am 99% certain its an occi, even though only a few exist anywhere . Hill City has a definite occidentalis  specimen only  5/8  larger than this specimen also . The finder and a top dealer agree with me, but regardless of my claim this is the best hoplo specimen you will ever see anywhere  . It is one to be proud of forever . Color, detail, and completeness is above reproach. The white color  with lines is usual for these animals , which is how they looked close to death . The upper skull is  more than  90% original  with super teeth with only a  small area of back of skull  and lower back jaws  restored.. The teeth are almost 100% with just a few incisors restored.  This may be one of earliest occidentalis skulls ever found , or at minimum  one with mostly occi characteristics except length . I don’t think length should be the overriding characteristic in any assessment. Only a few  occidentalis skulls have ever been found  anyway over all 4 million years so this could be one-of-a kind which always stumps even the most knowledgeable because it  is hard to put in put in either category .It is a  female that is very rare .It  resembles Smilodon , and is ultra desired . This is the smallest  occi possibly ever found but still a huge hoplo , no matter how you look at it  . No one can take the beauty of this specimen away no matter what it is, which makes it extremely special  for me.

Species description:   The largest Bear of all time that stood up to 6 ft Tall at shoulder and 8 ft tall and 9 ft long , and weighed 1800 lbs much  larger than grizzlies . In fact at one time the largest mammalian terrestrial carnivore  known as tremarctine bears or running bears   endemic to North America and Europe . This was a complete carnivore not like bears today as evidenced by high nitrogen bone  concentrations so was a killer of its time and lasted for 2.8 million years. More info is listed here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arctodus   .  Largest of all Bears

Geological Timeframe : 1.8Million Years-1.5M  years ago Blancan/Irvingtonian

Geological Period :  Early Pleistocene 1.8MYA -

Item Location : Columbia  County , Florida

Item rating and description: 20 on scale of 1-12 Most Highly Original(Top Premium)  Short-Faced Bear 13” Skull in the World  . This is so unbelieveable as no one has this anywhere in this condition .  This time I outdid myself on rareness as this ranks as the hardest animal to find in fossil records even greater than LaBrea Smilodon . Only scant pieces are ever found but here you have from the same individual in its entirety a Complete  Skull with little restoration . A little resto on top (nasal Area) , some on zygomatics , and a few incisors and entire lower jaws complete with no restoration . The teeth are all real- even incisors  except 2 incisors  . Yes the color is  different but all teeth and jaws are original . How does this happen . The lower jaws were found a few feet in different soil color and one canine is much lighter but also was detached in another crevice moved down into another clay area but close . All guaranteed original to this animal . From the person who found it who happens to be a near expert this is the only one anywhere in the world in this condition so your looking at history as I’ve always wanted one but could not afford . It is at least 95% complete as all lower jaws are real bone . I still cant believe it. Females are smaller and remember this is before simus so males were about 15-16 “ . Lokmat snout how it is not long like other bears as its SHORT-FACED but still huge . Simus evolved from this  . You will not find this animal anywhere but at this site forever as it will never be for sale

ONLY ONE ANYWHERE EARLY STEGOSAURUS 2nd NECK PLATE - ONLY 1 SKELETON FOUND IN 2001

Species: Stegosaurus mjosi(formerly Hesperosaurus mjosi)

Species description: Stegosaurus is an armored dinosaur and means "narrow faced roof lizard" for stenops but for this ultra rare dinosaur about 20 ft long. This means Western lizard and only one complete skull and partial skeleton has been uncovered in 2001. IT also is noted for large dorsal plates used for temp regulation and mating, and tail spikes in back for defense. IT was a herbivore, and stenops it is the longest living dinosaur over Jurassic and Cretaceous . Stenops is the common known species which was found in late Cretaceous India soil. It is a weird looking dinosaur compared to others. Hesperosaurus is only found in Wyoming having alternating plates on back and four spikes on tail. The plates were not as big as stenops. IT had a shorter broader skull than stenops and related to Dacentrus.

Geological strata: Morrison Formation (Kimmeridgian-Tithonian stages)

Geological period: MID Jurassic 130-140 MYA

Item location: Bone Cabin Quarry close to Como Bluff near Medicine Bow, Wyoming Albany County

Item description and rating: 12 ++++ Unbelieveable X- Rare Stegosaurus (Hesposaurus) 2nd Neck Plate. This is so amazing it brings goose bumps even seeing this piece. ONLY ONE SKELETON with SKULL (Not complete) has been found in the world and that in 2001. This was thought to been small stenops plate until the new earlier species was discovered. Two of them were found in 1968 and a picture shows you the other one. It is dark black- brown 6" high by 5" wide and complete. IT is a beauty and so rare you cant own this but as you know I have to have rare items. The full skeleton was found a few years ago and so rare the prepper who did the work had species name mjosi named after it. The person who undertook the clearing of the skeleton confirmed this piece as what is said and said it is very, very valuable. You can't buy this anywhere and is now regarded as one of my top pieces. The quality is perfect with lines with no restore. IT is as the animal just died and was picked up and nothing done to it. The skeleton is in Dana Quarry and its Dinosaurs by Errol Fuller. SO THIS PIECE IS ONLY ONE FOUND ANYWHERE OUTSIDE DANA QUARRY. The second neck plate was IDed because we also have the third and fit exactly in size and shape (Actually better ) than original one found. Also the species named above has a concave large air space at the end attachment area. Stenops does not have this. The finder sold this to me and am so thankful. It can be conclusively IDEd and was never broken for 140 MYA at least. This animal died out and evolved into Stenops at that time. THIS IS NATURES PERFECTION AT ITS FINEST. IM the proud owner forever. When it was found it was the first one of its species but no one knew it. Talk about RARE And Perfect - THIS IS CLOSEST YOU WILL GET!
