It was assigned to amphicyonids . While initially related to bears it is now found they may be basal caniforms . This is one of the most unusual carnivore . They were as tall as a black bear , and moved here from  Eurasia in early Miocene . It weighed 150 kg and combines features of canine and feline predators . It resembled a giant dog with a flexible cat-like body . These bear-dogs with long limbs and specialized in chasing down prey on the open plains. Only two partial mandibles have been found in Nebraska , and a part of a lower jaw in Florida . This is of great scientific importance to everyone, and unlimited value .   It was described in 2008 only so very recent partial finds.

Geological strata: Early Hemingfordian

Geological period: Early Miocene 19 MILLION YEAR OLD STRATA

Item location:    USA

Item rating and description: 17. The Supreme ULTIMATE PIECE –MAGNIFICIENT 12” BEAR-DOG SKULL 19 MYA –ONE-OF-A-KIND .  Wow even I outdid myself on this one . NO one on earth has this skull of a bear-dog that only has one paper on it described from only 3 pieces of skull -2 in Nebraska . This is of extreme scientific value ,and also is at least  95% original . ONLY one was found that was crushed and 50% so this is a classic. It is so perfect only 2 lower incisors are not original, crack fills , small section of back of one lower jaw , a small section  1” section behind the eyes  is restored . Wow .Words really cant describe these . Who has even another species of this? NO one is the answer in this good of shape . It was gotten from a friend , and I will treasure forever .Its 12” long by 7 “ wide mounted and beautifully prepped with bone quality simply outstanding , and color great . You really can’t value THIS ITEM since not one exists. Beyond a museum piece,  in my private collection. I’m so proud of this piece .I really cant say anymore than here because so little is known of this animal . You won’t find anything under this in google so here is your info . UNbelieveable Death Scene – Juvenile Stegosaurus 21”  Dorsal Plate with Juvenile Allosaurus Full 13” Scapula

Species: Stegosaurus stenops & Allosaurus fragilis

Species description: Stegosaurus is an armored dinosaur and means “narrow faced roof lizard “ about 23 ft long noted  for large dorsal  plates used for temp regulation and mating , and tail spikes in back for defense . IT was a herbivore , and little known it is the longest living dinosaur over Jurassic and Cretaceous . It was found in late Cretaceous Indian soil. It is a weird looking dinosaur compared to others .It is considered the longest living dinosaur ever due to India having this creature up to 65 MYA so it is at least 100 Million Years Old since it first appeared.
Allosaurus was the largest Jurassic Therrapod Meat Eating dinosaur ever reaching up to 35 ft long –as long as a bus . Its large skull with moveable joints in the skull allowed it to bite huge bites to devour its prey which included the largest saropds over 65 ft long .It did hunt in groups It had an S shaped bulldog neckand each powerfularm having 3 clawed fingers with one large claw.It weighed 2 tons .

Geological strata: Morrison Formation ( Upper Kimmeridgian Stages)

Geological period: Late Jurassic 172-140MYA

Item location: Emery County, UTAH

Description and Rating : 15  Original  One-Of A Kind Death Struggle with Stegosaurus 21’x13”Dorsal Plate &  Juvenile Allosaurus Complete Scapula 13” (Shoulder Blade)  So many imaginery ways these two could have died come to mind as both died together in a struggle of epic proportions . I wish I could have witnessed this myself . Oh wellborn to late I guess . Only dino nuts would say this .  Bone Quality is top of the line.  This may be the only one like this anywhere but know  few  like this exist  in the world , and only one of its type I ever saw for sale   It is dark  gray-black,red which is typical from this area . The Dorsal Plate was glued back together  but very little restoration except crack fills on either . The Allosaurus  shoulder blade has some on top of bone, and dorsal plate is almost without restore . The plate shows the connection area ,and a design so typical of a very rare plate. It is complete and from a juvenile . I do not sell stegosaurus material because it is not found for private collections hardly ever and is much more valuable than REX, Allosaurus , or any other dinosaur so I’m gladly keep this if not appreciated . I have looked for stegosaurus items for years and have actually keeping this for now . It I have a tail spike, and a rare dorsal plate from its grandfather miosi , and consider this the most valuable of all  . I don’t sell those pieces . The quality is so good with virtually no or minimal   restore as crack fills  but how many pieces tell a story  . It is as unbelievable find.It also was in the hardest matrix I ever had to clean off , so it’s a labor of love . I appreciate this fossil so much it is at top of anyones’ collection. Just admire this .

Extremely Rare 98%Original   Advanced Mesocyon True Dog Skeleton  Related to First  Hesperocyon

Species : Temnocyon corpyphaeus

Description : Species of True dog after hespercyon –first dog that was a terrestrial Carnivore that while existed for over 18 MYA it is so rare in fossil history . This is so rare only fragments have been found so you can see this dog for a description .  It was a little larger (skull about 2 “ longer”  than Hespercyon dog with similar bones only longer. The teeth are sharp and was a true  hypocarnivore . It was named by Scott in 1890 .This animal was mostly found earlier timeframes about 35 MYA . This animal was only found in Oregon, , Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska before this one

Geological formation:  White River Formation

Geological timeframe : Advanced Oligocene –Upper Oligocene  about 26-28 MYA

Location of item : Shannon County , S Dakota

Rating and Item description: WOW One-OF-A-KIND ULTRA RARE MESOCYON TRUE DOG SKULL w/ SKELTON . This is such a prize piece for so many reasons . First this is the first of its type found in S. Dakota as per all articles. Next this dog is about 98% original with top quality bones virtually non- restored . Next it is the only one I had ever seen ever, and it’s a rare true  dog hardly ever found in the fossil record  even as a primitive animal but this one is advanced so triply uncommon. This animal was looked at by many paleontologists and every one of them said this is so rare it’s a treat I need to keep forever. Only two early specimens have ever been seen by Black Hills Institute as expressed by Pete Larsen . IM just so happy to have this . The teeth are exceptional with all real and you can see a few premolars that fell out during the animals lifetime naturally . It is such a pretty blue, white cream color its simply stunning . Anyway I can’t say enough about this item . Its mine forever I hope . It may be the only one of its kind and irreplaceable .You can read Richard Tedfow, Wang, Beryl Taylor, and AMNH Pub Bulletins on this animal. It’s on a nice display stand with head  whole and attached or can be removed .

ULTRA RARE EARLY HOPLOPHONEUS  OREODONTIS  SKULL

Species:  Beautiful Hoplophoneus   Saber- Cat Skull

Species description:
The long –legged Nimravid  saber-tooth cat (one of larger one)with razor –sharp sabers and the second earliest saber-tooth cat  that roamed North America beginning in the Oligocene Period 35 MYA -23 MYA .  These animals had a lot of physical characteristics  similar and exact
to  Smilodon including famous saber-guards and similar sabers while smaller . They stood at over 2 ft tall the size of a large bobcat, and were more of a group predator with a close knit families as  evidenced by  some  hoplos found together in death while overall very rare species hunting
an abundant food supply of grazing ungulates including camels  and oreodonts. Using their highly  developed saber-teeth they would likely sever the blood supply in the neck of their prey in the initial attack.

Geological strata:  LOWER BRULE
Timeframe : 36-32

Item location :  Pennington , SD

Item rating and description: 13 on Rarity    Gorgeous 6” Rarer Hoplophoneus  Early Cat Skull in Ecellent Shape  . Some people say this was combined into priveaveus species but White River Museum  says this is actually not primaveus ,  and is a really rare oreodontis species  with one original saber and one cast .This si an old cat and primeavus would be bigger . IT was owned even by  Black Hills Museum back in the 70’s and was found in very early rock , which lower Brule is. It has only one premolar restored, some of back side of skull as well as one back of a lower, small part of sgital crest, and part of one cheek as wells  3 incisors restored . All the rest except the one saber is original so 85% original  is reasonable to say for this cat. The darker color is very attractive with lines   as compared to the white normal color. If you read some articles many scientists have combined this into  primaveus but the institute says this is definitely a different very rare species as they have only had a few of these in over 40 years , and its guaranteed a new rare species oreodontis so this can’t be sold –just too valuable . I was told by Pete  Larsen –top paleontologiss  to hold on to this cat as I may not see another ., so the cat man listens

TOP PREMIUM  BEAUTIFUL FULLY INFLATED  LARGE 17.5”  MALE MACHAIRODUS  GIGANTEUS  SABER-TOOTH CAT

Species : Machairodus Giganteus – Largest  True Saber-tooth Cat Ever

Species description : Largest Saber-tooth Cat of all time (Bigger than Smilodon ) with male members reaching  17-18” long and over 1 ½ times the size of a Bengal Tiger. They hunted in groups  and were the most powerful killer of all time  with large heads and 5 inch sabers from Europe , Africa and Asia  or then Eurasia.

Geographical Area:  15-2MYA Miocene –Pliocene

Item location

Item description & rating:  12Unbelieveably BEAUTIFUL  FULLY INFLATED HUGE  17.5”   MALE  SABERTOOTH Asian Smilodon Highly Original Est. 95% including 100% of all teeth. These are so rare to get one fully inflated as it looks exactly like when it lived, as almost all are distorted through compression .  The color while usual is really awesome also .I  now have 2 of them, and have one in my personal collection, and this is the only other one I have ever seen. This even appears larger than my one in my personal collection as its wider at zygos .  The front of skull on it looks great with all teeth aligned perfectly, which passes the biggest test and any angle it looks great. IM sending many pictures for you to analyze  but to view this as a whole makes it  so awesome . Even the parts are great in this also The few areas of restore were rounding the lower connection points and one process  on back of lower jaws , rounding the saggital crest  in  very back , and area on left side just behind the eye for you analysts out there. I prefer to think of the 95 % that is perfect , the fantastic prep job in creating the almost perfect cat. Not to mention the 100% teeth. There is no compositing on this cat anywhere. So combined with fully inflated and excellent bone quality, I doubt you would ever find a better specimen except in my personal collection , so I would not wait on this one . I’m now considering selling my great one and keeping this so better act fast .It was purchased here in USA , and prepped by the world’s foremost professional . AS my other one there really are no words to express my wonder and appreciation of this splendid  extinct animal . Cats are my thing and I hope someone will appreciate it the way I do or I will not sell it . If you really think the price is too high your not  giving this it’s fair due . A true appreciator will think its undervalued  as I do .

Special Massive 14 "Hyaenodon Horridus Complete Skull

Species:  Hyaenodon horridus

Species description: This was the largest species of Hyaenodon  in North America  with massive high saggital crest in back of head, long narrow snout, short neck and long body and tail. It was the top single carnivore although a number  of Terrible Pigs could drive one off.  This was the largest carnivore for over 20 Million years  called a Creodont  and it hunted alone not in packs like its smaller 3 related  species . These creodonts shared a specialized dentition commonly found in meat eating mammals  with shearing structures called carnassal-teeth. This one species was the size of a bear and had 1000 lbs of pressure per bite , and was more dangerous and a lot bigger than any saber-tooth cat of its time   a loner).Male specimens show grinding marks on their teeth which means tooth-grinding was used as intimidation with animals. The last creodont went extinct in America about 23 MYA but lasted to the Miocene in Asia .  This is the rarest fossil of the 4 species of Creodont by far.

Geological strata:  White River Formation

Geological period:  Oligocene Period 35- Early Miocene23 MYA

Beautiful  Miocene  Extinct  Hezhengia   Skull (Sheep –Ram

Species : Hezhengia  bohlini

Species description:   This species is extinct and this skull is only one known outside of China. It was a type of earlySheep like a  Dall Sheep or Ram but is not considered a Ram in China. IT was a huge sheep like a mountain sheep and occupied the same environments including steep rocky slopes and plateaus. Its appearance is as today’s Mountain Goat yet far bigger .    It ate grass ,plants, and was a PART OF MENU FOOD OF THE MACHAIRODUS SABER CAT  but this one had defenses and was not an easy kill  .

Geological strata: Hipparion Fauna, ASIA

Geological period: 10-5 MYA Miocene

Item rating and description: 12++++   Beautiful Extinct Huge  Hezhengia  17 “Miocene Sheep  with 28” Width between Horns.  This truly is one- of –a –kind keeper for a Rare Collector ,as this is one of only a few adult skulls  skull known in existence .Features include Thick Long Horns(12” diameter) completely Natural with grooves like today’s Ram horns only these are at least 5 Million years old; a beautiful light color with only crack fills; Perfect Skull with the back totally prepped free of matrix exhibiting condyles, and all the minor undulations for the back of a skull. The teeth are so rare, and it was an animal that only had lower teeth  in front of the jaws, which are all there.  IT is extremely heavy  and it took countless hours of prep work to show the teeth and horn lines through eliminating matrix . What a treasure. MY source said this is for sure the only one I would ever get due to difficulties in transport  so it is  irreplaceable . It was obtained in USA . It weighs 30 Lbs. What a display piece. It sits flat on matrix that is just below the jaws because the heaviness would not allow the jaws to support this piece . The superb nature, lines , color, bulk of beast, and completeness make this a trophy for a most discernable collector only .People pay this amount to hunt and mount a trophy like this of a modern day similar species so why not enjoy this one at your home without the risk of hunting .
You will not stop looking at this mammal. Herbivore enthusiasts will love this.  This one, as many others, you will find no where else but here if you want one so don’t wait or its gone . This one is precious ,and am fortune to have a great friend who returned it to me .
