Premium Precious Beautiful Oligocene Creodont Hyeanodon Cruentus 8.5" Black Spotted Skull

Species: Hyaenodon Cruentus

Species description: This was the next to largest species in North America with massive high saggital crest  in back of head, long narrow snout, short neck and long body and tail. It was the top single carnivore although a number of Terrible Pigs could drive one off. IT definitely was a carnivore due to teeth formation with crushing bone routine with large canines. This one did hunt in packs  while horridus (Large one  bigger than a small rhino was a loner). Male specimens show grinding marks on their teeth which means tooth-grinding was used as intimidation with animals. This was the king carnivore with saber-cats at this time. It is part of the creodont line that went extinct 20 MYA ago in America but survived well for 20 MYA plus.

Geological strata: White River Formation

Geological period: Oligocene Period 40- Early Miocene20 MYA

Item location: Badlands of Western S Dakota

Item rating and description: 12 ++++- X -Special  Rare 95% Original  Second Largest American Carnivore 8.5" Hyaenodon  Skull with excellent bone structure. This was a carnivore and teeth show this. This by far is the best bone quality one I ever had.  All teeth are original to the animal even though only one incisor is present on top. The one quality, color is even more beautiful than the famous  Lee specimen I had which sold for $3500 . The black  spots with white color is so appealing.  I had to have this one . Step up to the plate and this is one you can't take your eyes off . It is a must for a collector. It is mounted on sturdy nice  display for viewing.

Marvelous 7.5" Hoplophoneus Saber-Tooth Cat Skull

Species: Masterpiece Beautiful Hoplophoneus Saber-Cat Skull

Species description: The long-legged Nimravid saber-tooth cat (one of the larger ones) with razor-sharp sabers and the second earliest saber-tooth cat that roamed North America beginning in the Oligocene Period 35 MYA - 23 MYA. These animals had a lot of physical characteristics similar and exact to Smilodon including famous saber-guards and similar sabers while smaller. They stood at over 2 ft tall the size of a large bobcat, and were more of a group predator with a close knit families as evidenced by some hoplos found together in death while overall very rare species hunting an abundant food supply of grazing ungulates including camels and oreodonts . Using their highly developed saber-teeth they would likely sever the blood supply in the neck of their prey in the initial attack.

Geological strata: White River Formation

Geological period: 35-23.5 MYA

Item location: Pennington County, close to Scenic South Dakota

Item rating and description: 12++ Exciting New Full 7.5" Hoplophoneus Saber-Cat Skull with 2" Sabers, which makes this the 5th holpo to grace my path this year. The first 4 sold very quickly as will this one. This is the most prized highly desired vertebrate fossil in the world due to the cool sabers and saber guards. It is another great one from a long line, as I buy everyone I can .The bone quality can be seen so well so no beautiful adjutives are needed to describe .This again is a fine example with little restore - back of saggital crest, and partial zygos and I would estimate 85% - 90% at least bone original. One saber totally original and other one about ¾ original (rest repaired). Some incisors real and some restored. The larger incisors are original. All molars on one side original and on the other restored. This cat looked a lot like the Smilodon in many features which is reason for its popularity. It is a light multicolored skull and so attractive in color. Again the best prepper in the world by far did this full agape specimen. This may be my last one for awhile as no one is finding these. The lines are simply amazing on this skull. The time is now for you collectors to step up before gone . This one is 20 years old since found and recently prepped. So many of you tell me your sorry you didn't get it when available because you procrastinate. It's here - first come first serve and it too will be gone to someone who can make a quick decision so you better get now.

The magnificient color in contrasting cream, white, and brown coloration add to the extreme beauty of this tusk straight from a Museum in Germany which closed its doors so their loss is your gain on this one. Even the natural wear on the tusk does not detract from this piece but adds to the story of this animal . Complete unrestored, unbroken, and unrepaired pieces are rare so this pristine piece is ultra nice . The main feature of this is an amazing curve that usually only exists in ultra large one which makes this a fine conversation piece and knowing it is a full tusk for sure. It is yours for...

2 Ultra Rare SMILODON Axis & Atlas Vertebrae at Head Connection

Species: Smilodon populator or fatalis saber-tooth Cat

Species description: Well known Smilodon genus that is either the largest species Populator (only known from South America or fatalis sabercat with the largest canines of any saber-tooth cat of all time. Well known for killing mammoths and larger than a lion with 13-5 inch skulls plus. Many people believe popularator-bigger than Californicus migrated to Florida and this is probable proof of that due to size of these vertebrae. Compare to other californicus I have and it is bigger. This is one of the two species but have to ID it as fatalis but this could be in of a kind so please google it for more info.

Geological strata: Pleistocene Epoch
