Species: ARCHAEOTHERIUM MORTINI

Species description: Carnivore Pig ARCHAEOTHERIUM Species of Entelodont. It was a relative of the ungulates and was a predator with large canines. They ate camels, sloths, oreodonts, brontotheres, and horses on the Oligocene. It could also dig for roots and tubers. It had an elongated skull with long bony knobs beneath the eyes and on the lower jaws. It also had long spines on its thoracic vertebrae over the shoulders and a small brain, and often obtained lengths over 7' long. It was 5-6 ft tall at shoulder. Its jaw could snap shut quickly and kill any animal during its time and was highly successful. It hunted in packs and could run off a huge hyaenodon. It also was a 1000 km mass. This species is so rare few exist anywhere. It could open its jaws very wide and snap down on prey.

Geological strata: Brule Formation White River Badlands

Geological period: Oligocene Period 34- 23.5 MYA

Item location: Badlands of Western South Dakota

Item rating and description: 12 – MONSTER Rarest of Rare Archaeotherium "Terrible PIG" Entelodont 27.5" Long X 14.5" wide w Neck Verts. It has an extra hood which is never found so it measures an unreal 31.5". This extremely large for its species with known archaeotherium largest length 24". It is the animal highlighted in BBC Prehistoric Beasts DVD, which is a must for interested parties. A copy is provided free with this. This is simply amazing. The quality is absolutely top premium for an animal that no one can find hardy anywhere, and it has and has almost all original teeth and only a small section of the cheek restored. It is so top quality for the species and also possesses 3-4 original cervical vertebrae attached as well as a few other bones. IT is a complete on side and other side embedded in matrix. This is for only top collectors who want an item you can't get anywhere. This is the animal shown in BBC Walking with Prehistoric Beasts so this creature alive. Just so you know what you have- archaeotherium can be found very occasionally and this hardly exists in fossil records let alone one this size. The last one was 20" long and sold for a fortune and was way undervalued. The canines are 4 inches on top long and 3" on bottom, and most teeth original. This is truly amazing and a top treasure, and if not sold will be with me forever. No one but myself offers this for sale in this condition. This is from a museum that closed. If you read this far you want it, so look at pics and buy quickly or lose it. Top collectors will appreciate it so get it. Before someone else. I do not expect to ever get one this quality and size again This is probably a record size Archaeotherium so what are you waiting for!

One-of-a-Kind Miocene Wolf 9.5" Skull

Species: Canis teilhardi

Species description: It was closely related to Grey Wolf and was a canid, however, was mostly wolf and some wild canine in many features but it is not direct ancestor of any species today. IT became extinct at the end of late Pliocene about 1.8 million years ago and reached its peak in Late Miocene - Early Pliocene. It was a carnivore with little known except an aggressive meat eater. Fossils are extremely rare.

Geological strata: Longdan

Geological period: Middle Miocene 10MYA - Late Pliocene 1.3 MYA

Item location: Longdan of Gansu, China

Item rating and description: 12 ++++++1 This One-Of-A Kind Asian Miocene Wolf is the rarest item I've ever had. Rarer than any asian sabercat including homotherium. It is so beautiful with excellent bone quality and a beautiful set of teeth . Its teeth are different than any other animal by far and I will probably never get another. The government has closed digging in Lougdan so no skulls will come again except for this whole skull. The teeth are unbelievably good. The back of skull is nice but condyles not fully present and it was professionally prepped by me. IT took a lot of work and it was worth it. It has bone quality and nice color. This is not perfect with top of jaw Not shown due to matrix but may be there. I did this so stabilized well for someone I have had one other one that was perfect and sold at $6800. So someone who wants something neither museums or few individuals have. This is even rarer than dire wolfand the last dire wolf skull in America sold for $23,000 at auction recently. While it was fully agape and I could pursue that I thought by providing it this way with everything showing it was not necessary and it displays so well on its lower jaws it would save you lots of money, and any one could purchase it at this price. The only reason I got this was it was part of an old collection because finding these now is impossible since area is closed to public digging. So I'm opening up a one-of-a-kind mammal to everyone with this low price. I will not get another one and this is a $18,000 discount to a dire wolf, and this is rare.

Sensational, Amazing, Beyond Words 11" Adult Skull Megantereon Saber Cat with 4 1/4" sabers

Species: Megantereon nihowanensis

Species description: This cat evolved into SMILODON in N. America known from La Brae tar pits in California. It was built like a modern jaguar but heavier, and had the largest sabers per skull and body size than any saber-tooth cat that ever lived including Smilodon. It was larger than average saber-tooth cat that was very successful yet found sparingly in fossil records. It had stock forelimbs, with lower half lion-sized and large neck muscles designed to deliver a powerful bite. It severed the jugular and windpipe with a quick bite. It was a solitary hunter not like machairodus. The elongated upper canines were protected by flanges at the mandible. They weighed up to 300lbs. The upper incisors and lower were flattened as they appeared to tear off after much tearing as this animal shows. It was one of the most geographically successful saber-cats of all time and only one full skeleton has been excavated in France.

Geographical Area: Pliocene-mid Pleistocene 4.5 MYA in America-500,000 yrs ago in China

Item location: Hubei Providence, Nihewan Northern China

Item description & rating: 12+++++Simply Amazing RARE Megantereon Saber-tooth Cat 11" w/ 4 1/4" Sabers. This was acquired in 1999 and here in America that long with a huge agape skull and words can't describe this skull. It is over 11" agape by 5.5" wide. This cat evolved into Smilodon from California Tar pits. It is over 97% original bone and 99% Teeth including beautiful perfect 4 ¼" Sabers. The Teeth are Top Notch. It is beautifully prepared by one of countries best preppers . It has slight compression on one side by tectonic forces but does not detract from appearance or value. The bone is almost all present which also is extremely rare on these saber-cats and a super color and with all teeth original. According to the seller this is best one he ever had with less distortion as all come with some, and top bone and teeth quality. The back of the lowers are never present but in this cat the entire lowers are original bone and only a 1.5" area on right maxilla is missing but restored so you cant tell keeps me from saying perfect. The value will grow huge in 5 years. This is my 3rd meg this year and other two sold in one weekend. This is a once-in-a-lifetime piece normally. If you want to talk about it please call 706. 235. 2694. Available for museums. This cat has been in the states unprepped until recently for over 10 years and not obtained directly from China.
