Item rating and description: 12 – PROBABLY The BEST TERRIBLE PIG in THE WORLD(18” long by 11” Wide). This specimen has all the original parts plus a few extra . Yeah a few extra canines since this pig was achieving maturity so it was an adult but the juvenile canines are still present on lowers and uppers . This is an early arch which means it has less incisors than the normal 6 as it evolved over millions of years .The teeth are literally perfect –all original with only 2 repaired . The skull I can’t find restore but it was purchased from a famous fossil finder –paleontologist as a 99% Skull . Even the backs of the lowers and the back of sagittal crest are real bone which is unheard of .I have never seen one over 90%. This is the famous pig (entelodont) so highly talked about in the BBC documentary “ Walking with Prehistoric Beasts” which tape also comes with this specimen . This is simply amazing. IT is a complete skull with beautiful color, and completeness with extraordinary appeal . It was with the collector for 15 years and it was found by the owner who is a dear friend . The canines are simply amazing and 3 inches long and all teeth original except for two and so well done I can’t even tell. The cheeks are original also . Its like you found this in a China shop , so smooth and clean it appears perfect . I had to hae a perfect one for my collection .AS you all know I love pigs as well as cats , and was so happy to get this one .They are so rare especially one of this quality . This carnivore was at the top of the food chain and ruled the earth 23 Million years ago for over 10 million years .Yes pigs ruled the earth as every other form of life has at one time , and this was their time. This is a collectors Dream . Few can be mounted as they are so heavy it takes and firm steel display rest as this one. Not sure what sex due to cheeks not being that big but lower jaw indicates male . Its value in money($18,000plus) can’t match the years of enjoyment I will get from viewing it. It’s just not about the money but the appreciation for these magnificient beasts .

Item rating and description : 12 Rarest of Archaeotherium-Juvenile Nature’s Finest Entelodont Archaeotherium “Terrible Pig” Skull found last year in South Dakota . These small juveniles are hardly ever found and the person who knows the most over a 25 year career hunting these as only seen 3 other juveniles ever. What a nice specimen at 16”long , which is not large but large if you consider it was only 8-9 years old carnivore . This is the most sought after mammal now after all the BBC Prehistoric Beast immortalized publication tape, which comes with this beautiful creature. This is probably a female as it showed sexual dimorphism and cheeks of females and young were smaller in size. This was the most feared creature of the Oligocene Period with hyaenodons. It has all original to this animal teeth and lower jaws , as the lower jaws are almost 100% original with all original teeth, and it even shows new tusks coming in behind the baby tusks which are worn but still present. All the teeth are to this pig so combined with quality of bone makes this pig great. One zygomatic arch is original and the other restored with 98% original behind the ears on the top of this carnivore baby also with one cheek flap original, and some of the top before the nose restored and sides all quality bone . Any restoration you can’t see so it is spectacular . The beautiful color of skull with black and brown spots is so appealing also as are the teeth color with teeth all visible and shiny as to protect them . Most all are in matrix due to strong possibility of breakage in prepping, and this was safest for this specimen. The morphology is simply amazing for this animal. I saw one a little better quality and same size in Denver last year ,and it sold no questions asked for $16,000 . These animals made mince meat of the saber cats of the time. One unnamed species lived during early Miocene .The early archs were a little smaller than later Oligocene archaeotheriums . Geological strata: Brule Formation Geological period: Oligocene Period 38-35 MYA Item location: Badlands of Western South Dakota, Shannon County 25 Miles from Rapid City Item rating and description : 12 Fantastic Beautifully Naturally Colored Red Young Adult 15.5” Entelodont “Terrible Pig” Archaeotherium 9.5” Agape Skull found this year on a South Dakota private ranch . What a beautiful specimen all professionally prepped with some restore , but expertly done so it’s one of my favorites . I love these carnivores as they were smart, resourceful , team killers on the West Plains of North America .This is the most sought after mammal now after all the BBC Prehistoric Beast immortalized publication tape, which comes with this beautiful creature. This was the most feared creature of the Oligocene Period with hyaenodons .It is of high quality with restored areas so hard to see, most will never see it . Restored areas include back of lower jaws , one full cheek and small area on other, bone between the eyes , and 3 front lower teeth with only repairs on uppers . Canines are original, and actually it is the best prepped pig I ever saw. The teeth are 90% natural. The beautiful color of skull – red lines with spots is just so appealing you can look at this for hours . It also is a young adult as the teeth are smaller but adult teeth just emerged –not juvenile . When have you ever saw one mounted free with jaws agape. Only here at my site. This actually is the favorite skull of mine due to attractiveness and color. Most all are in matrix due to strong possibility of breakage in prepping. This animal probably dies due to a fight with another carnivore over food even though you can’t tell from the skull as the body must have been mortally injured maybe by a hyaenodon . This year’s show had no complete skulls so I have them all for the last few years as I am amazed by these creatures . These animals made mince meat of the saber cats of the time. The values on these have skyrocketed due to rarity but you can have you pick with me .This is your chance to get a beautiful skull for a very low price . I’ve sold many for over $11,000

One unnamed species lived during early Miocene .The early archs were a little smaller than later Oligocene archaeotheriums . Geological strata: WHITE RIVER Formation Geological period: Late Oligocene Period 25-23 MYA Item location: Badlands of Western South Dakota,Pennington County Item rating and description : 12 ONE-OF-KIND MONSTER ADULT 23” LONG Entelodont” Terrible Pig “Archaeotherium 19” Wide Unique color ed UPPER Skull found last year on a South Dakota private ranch . What a beautiful monster specimen with some restore . It comes without a lower. This was in my personal collection as no one has this species . Nothing has been written about it except it is very late Oligocene and also a noted top paleontologist said this is an unknown species of archaeotherium ever discovered before . Look at the eyes as it shows characteristics not known in this species , I didn’t have time to do as it allows people who can’t afford a complete one get the most important part of this animal . They were smart, resourceful , team killers on the West Plains of North America .This is the most sought after mammal now after all the BBC Prehistoric Beast immortalized publication tape. IT shared the Oligocene Period with hyaenodons as the top predators but these were in teams and were top dogs so to speak . The originality is high as all teeth are real but some from a large known entelodont , and skull is high original also with one cheek having a lot of restore and one only the tip . The back of sagittal crest is restored some but rest is original . Its very easy to see restored areas on this colorful pig but no one has it . Teeth that were coated for shine and protection is simply amazing .The colors are darker for a pig and as time went these pigs evolved into daedons and large Miocene Archaeotherium also which I also have one , and it is an unknown species . It is mine and it is 31” Long so I have two unknown species of pig no one else has so IM blessed . IT has very unusual coloring for one of these creatures ,. This is an huge adult. These animals made mince meat of the saber cats of the time. The values on these have skyrocketed due to rarity but you can have you pick with me . IT looks like a male to me but not sure as females got big also late in Oligocene . I kept this very reasonable a unknown species so you can enjoy . Its straight from my personal collection.
