Amazing American Lion Felis Atrox Astragalus (Ankle bone)

Species: Felis Atrox (American Lion)

Species Description: This is the largest Lion that ever lived much larger than African Lions with skulls up to 16-17 inches long. It roamed the entire USA and found mainly in Florida, Alaska, California, and
now S. Carolina as this bone was just found in an area rarely found. It was massive with a large sturdy body with a shoulder height greater than 5 ft high and a body length of more than 9 feet.

Geographic Period: Pleistocene Epoch

Geographic time: 350,000 -10,000

Item Area: Wando River, South Carolina

Item rating and description:  12 .  Rare Amazing Whole Perfect Felis Atrox American Lion Astragalus Ankle Bone. This is an absolute perfect bone in all regards from one of worlds past beasts. Not only rare but one in S Carolina is really unheard of. To my knowledge this is the first one ever found in S Carolina. But even if not, it has to be in every true collectors collection. This one is rarer than Smilodon, and it separates the true collectors from the pretenders. It is my first and probably I am a fool for selling it but my lack of judgement is your gain:-) The color and form is really exceptional on this one.
