Nimravus Saber-tooth CatSpecies: Nimravus saber-tooth cat Species description: This the rarest of all saber-cats that lived from early Oligocene to early Miocene with some up to 4 feet long and they were a hunting cat hunting small birds, mammals in ambush. The claws were sharp and thin and could be retraced, and these were the ancestors to the modern caracal but larger looking more like a leopard with large sabers. It competed with Eusmilus for habitat and was found in France and North America ( Colorado, Nebraska, N. and S. Dakota and Wyoming. It had a sleek body. It is a member of Nimravid family. Professionally prepared and I debated hard to even sell this wonderful cat. Areas restored include part of zygomatic arches, small portion of left side of skull, one saber original and other restored as well as first saber tip. Jaws 75% original and other one from another saber-cat same size. Canines original and most of incisors on top and bottom incisors restored. The large canines are present on top and one side of bottom jaw with teeth is glued on matrix. The other part on other side of lower jaw also comes with it but matrix was so nice I decided not top prep thoroughly . 80% of animal is there and when you have a complete skull it costs $2500 on these animals .
