It was much larger than the Smilodon Saber-tooth cat or the modern Lion , It had rounded protruding ears , tufted tail, and perhaps faint tiger-like stripes .They lived at same time of Neanderthals (250,000-30,000 ) and Cro-Magnon man( 40,000-10,000) They were featured in Paleolithic religious rituals and they were hunted by a form of human . Mostly found in Europe but this one and some are found in Siberian Russia, now Kazakhstan and Alaska .This was up to 20% larger than the largest lion today even though this species was a little smaller than most cave lions . This species rarest of all extinct lion species by far even though recently 2 lion cubs with skin and hair were found complete with DNA in Russia in 2015 .

Just a short time ago this species was only thought to be in Russia Siberia, and high in Alaska close to Bering Straight. However for first time they are finding in Kazakhstan on private lands in caves. This no one has as I know almost everything on lions, and will be getting a full skull shortly but this is only pieces Ive seen from this site or species. How I know they are same it’s the smallest species of lion due to coldness as Eurasia Lion went in 2 forks –one American Lion once it hit Alaska, and these Beringia lions. I’ve only seen 1 Bering1a Lion skull ever and I bought it. It’s of exceptional quality .Total natural makes this piece a must for a collector or even a beginner as it so reasonable on price. This is from an animal that is hardly found in the fossil record. These are rarer than Smilodon bones by far as I had many Smilodon. Keep in mind no one has anything of this lion species except me. Beautiful Huge Quality Hoplophoneus Saber Cat w 2 7/8” Sabers(known as the mini Smilodon )

Species: Hoplophoneus primaveus

Species description: The long –legged Nimravid saber-tooth cat (one of larger one)with razor –sharp sabers and the second earliest saber-tooth cat that roamed North America beginning in the Oligocene Period 35 MYA -23 MYA . These animals had a lot of physical characteristics similar and exact to Smilodon including famous saber-guards and similar sabers while smaller . They stood at over 2 ft tall the size of a large bobcat, and were more of a group predator with a close knit families as evidenced by some hoplos found together in death while overall very rare species hunting an abundant food supply of grazing ungulates including camels and oreodonts. Using their highly developed saber-teeth they would likely sever the blood supply in the neck of their prey in the initial attack.

Geological strata: White River Formation

Geological Timeframe: 30-23 MYA

Item location : Pennington County , SD

Item rating and description:1-10 9 9.8 Gorgeous Special Large Large 8.75” Hoplophoneus Saber-Cat Skull with Huge 2 7/8” sabers. This cat is very ,very large and stunning with high quality overall. The open mouth is also one of largest I ever had. This cat is mammoth and highly original has restoration on left front skull section, zygos, backs of lowers, small amount of saggital crest and the left saber cast. If you wish both to have original sabers I have one same size 2 7/8” inches for $1400 extra mailed with it. It’s a beautifully prepped cat overall skull very good at least. What makes it special is size, even incisors mostly real with the rest super teeth. The skull is exceptional in many ways in form, color, size, and quality. It was found by a hunter and in his collection for many years before prepping. This is so good you can’t tell any restore at all. It’s amazing and open mouth besides on a nice display. Most of time all incisors are molded but most of these are real teeth to this cat. The teeth color is so beautiful words don’t do them justice .This cat is the most highly desired vertebrate fossil in the world due to its resemblance to Smilodon and old age. This is one I won’t mind keeping, but it can be yours. An animal this good should go for $12,000 -14,000 by having the other great saber if you wish. You can buy without. If you wish the saber let me know for 1400 additional. A picture is at bottom of the new saber. Tall that has to be done is saber sanded to level then glued on after cast removed. You either way have a super cat. Prices to get these have risen as few are found anymore. If not appreciated I will glad keep it for my personal collection as I can’t do any better.

Beautiful Rare Amazing 1 Million PLus Old Extinct TIGER Entire Lower Left Jaw 7.5”

Species : Panthera tigris soloensis

Species description : Tigers evloved a long time ago about 2 million years ago There evolutionary path starts in China and Java Many older tigers are smaller but this tiger is about size of todays species Its of extreme scientific value as Tigers are today like they were millions of years ago . One of most feared predators which ever lived . This species had a long M1 and a typical narrow occiput .They went to Java from China .

Geographical Area: Punung or Ngangdong

Location: Origin :Sangarin Dome, JAVA

Item description & rating: 1-10 9.8 This find is so magnificent of a Entire Lower Jaw of a long ago species of Tiger 7.5 inches long.

While not huge it was an earlier one and I did tons of research on this . My cat expert said its one of three lion jaguar or tiger . Since no Jaguars or lions where here in fossil history or today it was a Tiger I got the species name from Grant doing research on papers as this is the old species . You can tell from hardness that this species was very very old and this is only 1. Also from research no other species existed a long time ago . It was a little larger than todays species. It was smaller than todays by a little . It has the back restored also but all the teeth are amazing. From reading no entire skulls of jaws exist from here-just teeth and small partial jaws so this is only one exists as my other tiger jaw . The teeth are great here as is the jaw except well prepped in back of jaw. Amazing piece .

Final Price :3999

Final Reduced with canine $2999 The teeth alone is worth well over this

Giant Short-Faced Bear PAW-Largest in History & Rarest Fossil in the World - Auction soon for Double

Species: Arctodus simus (Bulldog Bear also)

Species description
: The largest Bear of all time that stood up to 6 ft tall at the shoulder and weighed 1800 lbs which is larger than grizzlies. In fact, at one time the largest mammalian terrestrial carnivore known as tremarctine bears or running bears endemic to North America and Europe. This was a complete carnivore not like bears today as evidenced by high nitrogen bone concentrations so was a killer of its time and lasted for 2.8 million years. More info is listed here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arctodus.

Geological Timeframe: 3 Million Years to 11,000 years ago

Geological Period: Middle Pliocene - Late Pleistocene

Item Location:
Marion Co., Fl 100,000 to 200,000 years old Simus.

Item rating and description: (1-10) *9.8* Totally Original Giant Short Faced Bear Entire Right Paw 8.5” long by 8.5” Wide with 20 Complete Bones. This is so unbelievable as no one has this anywhere. This time I outdid myself on rareness as this ranks as the hardest animal to find in fossil records, even greater than La Brea Smilodon, or Dire Wolf. Few of these are present anywhere no matter where it’s found. Only scant pieces are ever found but here you have from mostly the same individual totally original set of 20 bones in the right paw with super claws. Claws if found have no sheath but these are perfect. Each claw of a Short Faced bear is worth over $1000, and this is almost perfect with 2 claws being from another Short faced Bear but size and finger position are accurate. It is just so amazing not even wear except on one metacarpal. Keep in mind even one claw is an amazing find for the animal. I’ve only had a few partial bones from this animal ever and they went for huge prices so here it is something in an original collection for years. I debated even selling this but don’t ask for a discount as my price is great for what it is. I have more requests for this than even cats so here it is!!!! This is an amzing piece Who has one -no one is the answer so what ARE YOU waiting for ????? THis will go for 10,000 at auction so its coming unless your real fast People love t pay lots more at auction so that’s where IM going

The bone is super light color and matrix has penetrant sealant on it to make sure matrix is sturdy. Values have grown a lot. These just don’t come around .Its time someone else had it. Beautiful Ultra Rare Adult Homotherium Saber Cat Lower Jaw Section w 2 Incisors-1 Canine

Species : HOMOTHERIUM

Species description : This cat evolved from Machairodus and appeared at Miocene –Pliocene border about 5 MYA and lived in Africa as well as Euroasia and died out lastly in Asia and North America about 10,000 years ago so it was highly successful. It was a scimitar cat built like a modern lion that had about a 13” skull but much longer teeth called sabers. It was larger than average saber-tooth cat that was very successful yet hardly ever found in fossil records. Complete skeletons have only been found in Texas and of this animal complete skeletons in Asia have never been found and only a few skulls .The sabers per head size are smaller than other the big cats. It preyed on wooly mammoths as found out in Texas. IT looks like a megantereon however much shorter sabers and less sized lower saber guard and sabers reached to end of lower jaw as this one does. It reached 1.1 meters at shoulder . As said compared to megantereon, smilodon, and machairodotus its sabers were relatively short but still they are nice sized sabers. It provided a great puncturing and gripping force . The skull was longer than smilodon. This jaw had down-turned forward flanges to protect the scimitars . It large canine teeth were crenulated and designed for slashing rather than purely stabbing . Some of the physical appearances were unusual for a big cat as it had limbs that gave the homotherium a hyena like appearance. The forelegs were elongated while hind legs were rather squat with feet planti-grade causing back to slope down towards a short tail. It had a large nasal square nasal opening like a cheetah which allowed quicker oxygen intake with brain visual cortex large and allowed it to hunt during the day instead of night like many cats. It lived 5 million years longer than megatereon. It hunted in packs and not only killed mammoths but also rhinoceros juveniles.

Geographical Area: Possible Early Pleistocene

Location: Origin France Item description & rating: 1-10 10 X- Ultra RARE Beautiful Adult Homotherium Scimitar Saber-Tooth Cat Canine Incisor 1.25” Long Plus another reg incisor . It is 100 %original bone and 100 % Teeth original with one smaller incisor plus a large1.25” Canine larger incisor with partial front of jaw.(Per a noted authority ). Both incisors look great with also a root of another in jaw . I have wanted a whole one for years and the opportunity was afforded from a friend who is also the top expert on these creatures , and this will be admired by me & ones who read this. Only a small number found in Texas cave and 2 in Florida and a handful in China and Europe. The great thing about this species it is a form of crenatidens but a different unclassified species that needs researched even more so we can safely say only a few of this exist . AS someone who knows a little on cats said the species is close to be Xenosmulus but different so no species has been classified as of this date so hopefully a book could come from this at later date. Anyway so rare it is not a labeled known species as of yet so under crenatidans for now . This just doesn’t come along so for true collectors of sabercats this section is a must . The canine saber has wear on tip probably natural but unknown . You’ll love this one as I do if you know cats. These from these cats just aren’t available

Almost Non-Existent Prehistoric Oligocene First True Peccary Perchoerus

AUCTION ITEM

Species: Perchoerus Platyops

Species description: Hardly no record of this animal exists except it looks like a large peccary and belongs to Artactyla. This is so rare hardly anything has been written about it but it was named by Cope of the famous Cope- Marsh duo. It is smaller than later Platygonius compresses but looks a lot like it. It was a browsing animal and very few bones have been found, At All!! Read about this animal here and you will know more than 99% of the population. You can look this up and get so little it is amazing!!!!

Geological strata: White River Formation

Geological Epoch: Upper Oligocene

Geological Timeframe: 28-23 Million Years ago

Item location: Shannon County, S Dakota

Item rating and description: (1-10) *9.5* RAREST AND OLDEST of ALL PECCARIES – ULTRA RARE PERCHOERUS. Beautiful Large 10.5” SKULL. Wow this is so rare little is known about it. My friend from whom I purchased has hunted 30 years and this is only the third one he ever found. I’ve only seen 2 other ones in 20 years ever. My prepper said this is the most complete one he ever saw even better than the other one I sold. It’s over 90% original and these, if found, are usually very partial. While this is compressed, it’s complete and does not take away the beauty of this piece on a stand. Also, the entire back including the sagittal crest with condyles is original and one of the zygos. The teeth are very fine with all original except 3 of 4 of tusks, 4 of 6 uppers, and one premolar. The value of this is extreme and they sell immediately for those people who know how rare these are. Restore is only on one zygo of the peccary plus some spots to fill holes on the top and bottom. You just don’t find these never in this condition!!!! The upper skull is extraordinarily great for any skull let alone this rare animal. The prep was so well done that it is difficult to ascertain exact original of restore. But look at it as a whole and you will be so pleased. I was so happy to get this find, and only a true collector will appreciate this one as actual value is priceless!! You will never find a better one for the money. The pictures will show you how original this is. I will gladly keep this as I appreciate it so much. Anyway, here it is at the same price I sold the last one which was two inches smaller so this is a big one and highly original!!!! Its almost at cost

REDUCED PRICE $4999 No longer available sold

These just don’t go for these prices not this good
