HUGE RARE EINIOSAURUS SKULL w/ 3 (ALL) HORNSSpecies: Einiosaurus (Ceratopsian) Earlier Type of Triceratops Species description: This is a fairly new discovery in 1985 and is called buffalo lizard-named in 1995. It is a medium-sized
centrosaurine (short-frilled) ceratopsian from the Upper Cretaceous normally
found in Canada. . It is a relative of the Triceratops and this is a sub adult
animal listed here. It was a herbivore about 20 ft long and was short-frilled
dinosaur compared to Triceratops long frilled dinosaur
Geological Period: It lived from 83 MYA until 71.5 MYA and died before the extinction event. Geological Formation: Two Medicine Formation Location: This one found 2 miles from Canadian border north of Dupuyer, Montana NW Montana Canadian animal before this find. Item description and rating: THIS IS A VERY RARE DINOSAUR SKULL of a EINIOSARUS. This skull is the complete upper skull with Braincase-which is so great and rare only missing some frill behind dinosaur's right eye and of course lower jaw which is small anyway. It has no restoration only crack filling and has 23 inch horn which points down like a can-opener and is 44" long. It had 2 horns off the frill, and the skull includes the horns and frill section with one of horns being not from this dinosaur (larger) but other one is so it is virtually complete. Retail on this animal complete goes for $50,000 and the top dinosaur hunter that found this has COA and sold other 2 for $60,000 in the ground-complete adult skulls. This comes with pictures, details and was found in a ravine with a herd that died from a sudden flood. It is one of most unusual dinosaurs that ever lived and it was selected for extinction due to the horn pointing down so it could not be used in defense. Few remains have been found of this animal and museums do not have this animal in almost every case so it is one of a kind. Few people have this is private collections also and is 44" long so a sub-adult. This is an opportunity to get a skull for an economical price and it displays so well on top of a table or any piece of furniture and can be carried. I can’t say enough about this dinosaur and it beyond mere words. All the prep work has been done and is ready when most others are sold while in the ground for exorbitant prices Call for more details on this one. They were short-legged, blunt-headed herbivores that had 5 toes on each foot This animal is very rare compared to other oreodonts and the Largest and a real prize. They lived in the American West 35-23 MYA. They were food for saber-tooth cats and hyaenodons for millions of years, much longer than cows have existed. Geological strata: White River Badlands Brule Formation Geological period: Oligocene Period 34-23 MYA Item location: Badlands of Western South Dakota : Pennington County Item rating & description: 12 - X -Special Rare Large (Over 10.5") Eporeodon Oreodont from long ago, however, the beauty, detail, and bone quality of this animal is the best I have ever seen. I have a number of these and the size is just huge. This was way bigger than the largest saber-cat of its time. The animal has under 5% restore with almost all of the 5% in the forward 1" of mandibles. The color is bone beautiful on both sides. It displays well. This is a great opportunity to own a real favorite and most oreodonts are more common but this one is very, very rare and one of the LARGEST MAMMALS of the OLIGOCENE. This will not last long so don't procrastinate or it will not be left. You will never see a nicer or larger Oreodont anywhere. The 2 larger front teeth are repaired and partially restored but beautifully done and you will love this animal. |

Amazing Largest Carnivore (Oligocene) Creodont Hyaenodon SkullSpecies: Hyaenodon horridus Species description: Largest Carnivore for almost 20 Million years called a Creodont of which no living relatives live. These creodonts shared the specialized dentition commonly found in meat eating mammals with shearing structures called carnassial’s teeth. There were 4 species and all are rare with this one the largest - size of a bear and the smallest the size of a raccoon. This animal is huge and had 1000 lbs of pressure per bite and more dangerous and a lot longer than saber-tooth cats of its time so this creodont was the king of beasts for a long time. The last creodont died in the Miocene in Asia but was extinct in the US 23.5 Million years ago. This species rivals the largest saber-tooth cat of all time in size. Geological formation: White River Formation Geological Period: Eocene and Oligocene Epoch 40-23.5 MYA Item location: Pennington County, South Dakota Item description and rating: 12++++ Amazing Fiercest Largest Carnivore of Eocene & Oligocene - the Creodont Hyaenodon . This is a fairly unknown animal to the public & super rare Complete Creodont- Hyaenodon 14" Skull . It is also 14" high with agape. Very rare from a family of animals that do not exist anymore and this is the largest American West creodont ever and carnivore during this time frame. Actually this animal one of the was the most dangerous animals ever- much larger than saber-tooth cats I have for sale of that time and rivals the largest saber-tooth cats of all time. Creodonts devoured flesh of other mammals and this creature skull has almost is 80% plus original and was an old animal The teeth are original however repaired due to an old animal having dental problems with the large front upper canines original also. It was professionally prepped by I believe the top prep person in the country. Part of normally high sagittal crest is restored as well as ½ of zygomatic arches but rest is original. It is beyond museum quality and very valuable. An animal this size in this condition shows wholesale prices over $5000 on the internet due to rarity(rarer than saber-cats) . This will be the last time you ever see the largest, rarest carnivore of the Oligocene unless you buy it. I appreciate this one and regard it as one of my top 5 possessions. |

The Rarest of The Rare Extinct Largest Creodont Hyaenodon SkullSpecies: Hyaenodon horridus Species description: This was the largest species of Hyaenodon in North America with massive high saggital crest in back of head, long narrow snout, short neck and long body and tail. It was the top single carnivore although a number of Terrible Pigs could drive one off. This was the largest carnivore for over 20 Million years called a Creodont and it hunted alone not in packs like its smaller 3 related species. These creodonts shared a specialized dentition commonly found in meat eating mammals with shearing structures called carnassal-teeth. This one species was the size of a bear and had 1000 lbs of pressure per bite, and was more dangerous and a lot bigger than any saber-tooth cat of its time a loner).Male specimens show grinding marks on their teeth which means tooth-grinding was used as intimidation with animals. The last creodont went extinct in America about 23 MYA but lasted to the Miocene in Asia . This is the rarest fossil of the 4 species of Creodont by far. Geological strata: White River Formation Geological period: Oligocene Period 35 - Early Miocene 23 MYA Item location: Eastern Wyoming close to Lusk Item rating and description: 11 What a Vicious Rare Carnivore- The Extinct Largest Oligocene 11" Hyaenodon Skull This is a juvenile Largest Carnivore during the Oligocene Period that got to 15 “ when an adult. This animal has an unusual tooth morphology because as it was growing one of his canines was just coming in behind another juvenile tooth even though it was really huge and larger than all the other Creodont species . The skull has some restoration and very well done is in a few areas IT is the only carnivore group that has gone extinct and a real rarity even though I had a larger one that sold this year. Most of the teeth are original to this animal but some incisors and few top molars were restored very well. The lower jaw is intact and even the sagittal crest is original. I can't tell % on this one but assure it is a beautiful animal in all regards tucked into a nice display matrix. Both sides are shown but not all on one side . The pictures do the rest and this is a prize piece as so many of my mammals and an excellent buy on such a rare mammal that hasn’t been seen alive in 20 Million years. |
