Gorgeous Large 8' 1/4" Hoplophoneus Saber-Tooth Cat Skull with 2.5" Sabers

Species:  Beautiful Hoplophoneus   Saber- Cat Skull

Species description:  The long-legged Nimravid  saber-tooth cat (one of larger one)with razor-sharp sabers and the second earliest saber-tooth cat  that roamed North America beginning in the Oligocene Period 35 MYA -23 MYA .  These animals had a lot of physical characteristics  similar and exact to Smilodon including famous saber-guards and similar sabers while smaller . They stood at over 2 ft tall the size of a large bobcat, and were more of a group predator with a close knit families as  evidenced by  some  hoplos found together in death while overall very rare species hunting
an abundant food supply of grazing ungulates including camels  and oreodonts. Using their highly  developed saber-teeth they would likely sever the blood supply in the neck of their prey in the initial attack.

Geological strata:  White River  Formation

Item location:  Shannon County, SD

Item rating and description: 12+++  Gorgeous Large 85% plus  Hoplophoneus  Saber-Cat  Skull  8¼" long with 2.5" Sabers. This cat was described by my top prepper as the best one I ever had, as he has done 8 this year for me . All have sold. I agree it is one of my best, and the best upper, and one side of a lower jaw I definitely ever had .The sabers are huge 2.5", real and repaired in middle with slight restore.  Color, detail, and completeness is above reproach. The white color  with lines is usual for these animals, which is how they looked close to death. The upper skull is at least 98% original with only a small area of one zygo restored. The teeth have almost all original teeth with some repair and restore on tips. The lower jaw on one side was 95% complete, and the other had some restore. Some of teeth and jaw came from another animal that matched perfectly. Even the incisors are almost all real teeth, just repaired on ends . This cat is the most highly desired vertebrate fossil in the world due to its resemblance to Smilodon, and old age. The upper skull was just outstanding as I saw it before prepped and had everything , and stood out as magnificient pure shape and completeness including the entire saggital crest. This is one I won’t mind keeping, but it can be yours. An animal this good should go for $10,000, as I've seen many sell for thru the years. I will not discount a pure beauty in nature. You rarely find them this big but here it is. I have more pics if you need it.

Item rating and description: 12  Gorgeous Economical  Large   Hoplophoneus Saber-Cat Skull 8 ¼” . This Red skull is so becoming I had to purchase it in its current state. While it has casts for the front teeth, the rest of the skull and teeth are in  very good  original condition. Estimate on this cat is hard to determine because the restored areas you will never tell in a million years. I love these cats. I have many people ask me for one they can afford in this price range that is nice so here it is, so show me with your funds you are serious . You will love this cat. Very few are ever red colored as this is the first I've seen but am told one in a hundred are like this  so that means you’ll have to wait about 20 years to get another if you miss this one . You cant even tell the front teeth are cats . If you want to it is a great investment because if you find  original sabers which cost about $800 you have a $7000 cat, so how can you go wrong on this one.

Beautiful Large Rare Early American Rhino Subhyracodon 22" Long Skull 90% original

Species: Subhyracodon (Caenopus Tridactylus)

Species Description: Subhyraodon is an extinct genus of cow-sized rhinoceroses. It was a large herbivore on the plains of early Oligocene South Dakota smaller only to the Brontops. It had no horns, relying on speed to escape.

Geological Formation: White River Formation

Geological Period: 30-35 MYA

Item Location: Pennington County, South Dakota

Item Description: 12 Rare Huge Oligocene Large American Rhino (Subhyracodon) 22" long and 10" wide. This monster was a large rhino 33 MYA and this specimen is about 90% original. It is a gem with little restore and all real teeth just waiting for your collection. This was one of top pieces at the Denver fossil show this year, and I was lucky enough to obtain it. It is a supreme piece and displays well with a slight distortion that actually adds to visability for display. One other one was for sale and sold for $8,900 at the show so this is your chance to own America's past at a ultra low price for this animal. The last one I had was 75%-80% original and sold for $5,000 so the proud owner of this highly original piece can get this at a unbelieveable amount. The color, shape, teeth and bone quality are supreme. This is a once in a lifetime purchase as this is only my second one. It is safer to display these closed mouth due to weight and this one is so attractive.
