Amazing Rare 30 MYA Green Hyaenodon Creodont Carnivore Juvenile Skull becoming an Adult

Species:  Hyaenodon horridus

Species description: This was the largest species of Hyaenodon in North America with massive high saggital crest in back of head, long narrow snout, short neck and long body and tail. It was the top single carnivore although a number of Terrible Pigs could drive one off. This was the largest carnivore for over 20 Million years called a Creodont  and it hunted alone not in packs like its smaller 3 related  species. These creodonts shared a specialized dentition commonly found in meat eating mammals  with shearing structures called carnassal-teeth. This one species was the size of a bear and had 1000 lbs of pressure per bite, and was more dangerous and a lot bigger than any saber-tooth cat of its time a loner. Male specimens show grinding marks on their teeth which means tooth-grinding was used as intimidation with animals. The last creodont went extinct in America about 23 MYA but lasted to the Miocene in Asia . This is the rarest fossil of the 4 species of Creodont by far.

Geological strata: White River Formation

Geological period: Oligocene Period 35 - Early Miocene 23 MYA

Item location: Badlands of Western S. Dakota

Item description and rating: 13 0n 1-12 Beautiful  Perfect Rare Green Largest 30 MYA  Juvenile Hyeanodon horridus Skull with Teeth  Morphology. What a Vicious Rare Carnivore - The Extinct Largest Species Oligocene 11" Hyaenodon Skull which a was a juvenile during the Oligocene Period that got to 15" when an adult. This animal has an unusual  tooth morphology because as it was growing many of its adult teeth while losing others, which is the reason a few teeth sockets are dry and a few have 2 types of teeth. All of the teeth are original and the quality of bone is impeccable intact and who has ever seen a green Hyeanodon - color almost unheard of. Anyway this is of the same quality as the other species hyeanodon at the site and is so awe inspiring. Here is a collection item you can enjoy forever here on my website. Since I can't put in words how lovely this animal is and having a triple magnificence of green color, teeth morphology, only a fortune can purchase this animal.

These are extremely rare in fossil records. It was highly successful in Plains areas and were in herds 10-50 animals. Woodlands started to be lost into more a plains area which many ungulate s like giraffes and other types of deer existed such as the extinct ones I have now. An artidactyl  also . It did have white spots as the one in India now.

Geological strata: Hipparion Fauna

Geological period: 15-5 MYA Miocene-today same species name with slight differences from this one

Item location:   Central Asia

Item rating and description: 14 HUGE 11”Beautiful Miocene  Large Extinct  Asian Deer Skull  w  3-pronged 20” HIGH ” Antlers each with another  small antler both 10” long  98% Original . It has all original teeth which you can see well including front lower teeth as the upper front had no upper   teeth at all in nature .What a rare find –a  5 Million Year old  deer with huge antlers and antlers hardly ever fossilize in Miocene soil. It has crack fills only in antlers and hardly any restore worth mentioning . This is a treasure for you with extremely  high end bone quality. IT is professionally prepared with antlers glued back from broken parts –however all antlers original to this animal  with exceptional teeth including 5 in front on bottom and antlers all natural.  It will actually sit by itself as it has a natural display base made of original matrix but I will send a stand also for security .  Many items are highlighted here in pictures.  I was told this deer rarely exists in fossil records, and only had one other one which sold at over $3000. That one had 9 inch skull and antlers 13” high . These antlers are 20 inches high and it is the largest Pre-Pleistocene deer in existence . Many of earlier deer were small   and may not get another.  This one could be for a top collector who wants something no one has or a deer hunter who wants a large rack of an old deer forerunner to today’s deer .  The lines in this animal are superb in all regards. This one is irreplaceable not like my other extinct deer and the most highly desirable for  a reasonable price . This deer is much larger than last one I had . What a treat you will see with perfect antler alignment . Thisis a chance of a lifetime to buy the largest and rarest deer species of 10 Million Years ago , and a modern day species exists today

Species: Pteranodon longiceps

Species Description: Flying reptile that lived during dinosaurs that had a wingspan of up to 23 ft and other species  over 30 ft. It had tooth beaks with a semi-upright stance and had a diet of fish and had a skull crest so distinctive of species.

Geological strata: Niobrara Formation

Geographical timeframe: Cretaceous 83 MYA

Item location: Smoky Hill, Gove County, Kansas

Item description and rating: 12+  Super Rare Large Part of an Entire Pteranodon wing with 8 complete bones with membranes on wings. The list includes Phalanx I-IV, 2 Fused Carpals, Pteriod  and radius arm bone. All bones put together go over 45" long so this entire wing would have been over 70 inches long in life. This animal was not a large adult yet look at size of one over ½ one side of entire wing. These creatures were majestic.  I I have never seen such a large portion of  bird-like flying reptile before and it is exciting.  Some of items namely phalanx IV and period are in matrix and all others are out. It is totally prepped  A whole pteranodon is impossible to buy and if one existed it would go for a million dollars so why not buy well over one half a entire wing with 8 complete bones for a lot less. I did not glue this on the display yet but will provided the buyer wants it done or ease of shipping with directions of how to glue. I may sell this by part if it does not sell early but by buying all you get a huge discount as shown below of prices. This is so nice I actually hope no one buys this piece so I’m able to appreciate it for many years. It comes with display board and all literature about each piece of bone and membrane.

Gorgeous Super Rare Jurrasic Othnielia Rex Tibia

Species: Othnielia Rex

Species description: Hypsilophodont named after the famous finder Othniel Marsh. These were small 4.5-6 ft long, 22 lbs which was a fast and agilebipedal herbivore with small arms and larger legs which is why this piece is larger than most bones because it is a tibia.

Geologic strata: Morrison Formation

Geologic timeframe: Late Jurassic 172-141 MYA

Item location: Shell, Wyoming

Item rating and description:  12+++++ AMAZING Super RARE PIECE -OTHNIELIA REX Large Tibia . 11”complete tibia which a long time to be certain of its identity and possesses  a beautiful fine smooth dark colored bone so characteristic of Morrison Formation items  however this is in a claw by itself. The structure is perfect and  it was researched thoroughly before this assertion. Remains have been assigned in Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado but recently  with Galton's revision of Morrison ornithischians, the only definite remains were found in 1875 so this is a treat for you. Only a few remains have been found and he put some in the othnielosaurus category. Only places known to have othnielia are Denver Museum, AAthal Museum (Barbara), and a partial skeleton by Brill and Carpenter in 2001. I know also recently some hooves with foot bones were found also at same location. This location is one of most abundant fossil remains known by myself. Anyway you have one rare bone here and if not appreciated I will gladly keep it. This bone cost myself a lot , so the price per inch may not seem  reasonable but since chances are you will not even see this bone again, it is only for top  collectors, museums, to boast it is of few in private collections. *

Anyway seeing is believing so here it is.

  • * Source of above text from Wikipedia encyclopedia so check it out for more information
  • Regardless this is an ultra ultra rare bone
