Well Over 1/2 Of an Entire Pteranodon Wing with 8 Complete BonesSpecies: Pteranodon longiceps Species Description: Flying reptile that lived during dinosaurs that had a wingspan of up to 23 ft and other species over 30 ft. It had tooth beaks with a semi-upright stance and had a diet of fish and had a skull crest so distinctive of species. Geological strata: Niobrara Formation Geographical timeframe: Cretaceous 83 MYA Item location: Smoky Hill, Gove County, Kansas Item description and rating: 12+ Super Rare Large Part of an Entire Pteranodon wing with 8 complete bones with membranes on wings. The list includes Phalanx I-IV, 2 Fused Carpals, Pteriod and radius arm bone. All bones put together go over 45" long so this entire wing would have been over 70 inches long in life. This animal was not a large adult yet look at size of one over ½ one side of entire wing. These creatures were majestic. I I have never seen such a large portion of bird-like flying reptile before and it is exciting. Some of items namely phalanx IV and period are in matrix and all others are out. It is totally prepped A whole pteranodon is impossible to buy and if one existed it would go for a million dollars so why not buy well over one half a entire wing with 8 complete bones for a lot less. I did not glue this on the display yet but will provided the buyer wants it done or ease of shipping with directions of how to glue. I may sell this by part if it does not sell early but by buying all you get a huge discount as shown below of prices. This is so nice I actually hope no one buys this piece so I’m able to appreciate it for many years. It comes with display board and all literature about each piece of bone and membrane. |

Gorgeous Super Rare Jurrasic Othnielia Rex TibiaSpecies: Othnielia Rex Species description: Hypsilophodont named after the famous finder Othniel Marsh. These were small 4.5-6 ft long, 22 lbs which was a fast and agilebipedal herbivore with small arms and larger legs which is why this piece is larger than most bones because it is a tibia. Geologic strata: Morrison Formation Geologic timeframe: Late Jurassic 172-141 MYA Item location: Shell, Wyoming Item rating and description: 12+++++ AMAZING Super RARE PIECE -OTHNIELIA REX Large Tibia . 11”complete tibia which a long time to be certain of its identity and possesses a beautiful fine smooth dark colored bone so characteristic of Morrison Formation items however this is in a claw by itself. The structure is perfect and it was researched thoroughly before this assertion. Remains have been assigned in Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado but recently with Galton's revision of Morrison ornithischians, the only definite remains were found in 1875 so this is a treat for you. Only a few remains have been found and he put some in the othnielosaurus category. Only places known to have othnielia are Denver Museum, AAthal Museum (Barbara), and a partial skeleton by Brill and Carpenter in 2001. I know also recently some hooves with foot bones were found also at same location. This location is one of most abundant fossil remains known by myself. Anyway you have one rare bone here and if not appreciated I will gladly keep it. This bone cost myself a lot , so the price per inch may not seem reasonable but since chances are you will not even see this bone again, it is only for top collectors, museums, to boast it is of few in private collections. * Anyway seeing is believing so here it is.
