Rarest Lion -Beautiful 15” Russian Beringian Lion Skull Highly Original

RAREST LION – Beautiful 15” Russian Beringian Lion Skull Highly Original

(One of a Kind Fossil)

Species : Panthera leo vereshagini(extremely rare) few skulls know Beringian Lion or East Siberian

Species Description: This species evolved from spleaea Panthera but it is extremely rare as no skeletons exist of this except now last summer 2 lions were discovered with hair and intact organs and entire skeleton . They actually have parts found in Alaska and western Canada, and that’s it. Various studies report varying sizes as some report it’s bigger than Spelaea and smaller than American lion , which makes since Cave lions of Europe never made it this far, however most report smaller lions at 1.8 meters long with tails of 37 inches and height of 44 inches with weight of over 550 lbs which still is large . Mine is smaller than atrox by a lot, but while some skull differences of European Cave lion and American lion , the American Lion can be traced to this species Actually DNA is exact on all so all could be one species just found in different parts of the world . These migrated across the land bridge to USA in Alaska and Canada so it’s the only Lion to do so thus divergence into American Lion . In fact in early studies vereshagini is mentioned as American Lion Atrox . Skeletal remains are space with no full skulls found and only 2 baby lions in Russia known . These were found with hair, skin , organs due to all in permafrost . This is the rarest lion anywhere as I have a collection of rare older lions also .

Geographic Period : Pleistocene Epoch 320,000 -12,000 years ago (Mine est at 30,000 )

Geographic time: 320,000 years ago -12,000 years ago

Item Location : Yakutia-Eastern Siberia – Found in Clay profile of the Indigirka River Downstream(South) well into Siberia

Item rating and description: 1-10 *10 plus * WOW This may be the only one out there –Russian Lion Skull 15” Long. If you google it it says no skeletons found just a few skulls but you have the chance to get a genuine skull . The only part not real is the 2 upper canines but I will find some for you as I do get them. This is my first Russian Lion ever as these are the rarest . I’ve had now all extinct species of lion at one time or another now . This is one of rarest items I have and will go at great sums at auction. It’s worth much more than asking due to rareness. Its not real light so uincddicates at least 30,000 years old . It was found in the river at a location that no others are known to be found at all. It’s so close to American Lion this needs studied or in a collection that will be honored forever as a one-of-a-kind piece . remember this are is close to Alaska and Anerican Lion came from this lion across the Bering straight .It looks so close to me to the American Lion except size smaller , which it is supposed to be . It is even rarer than the American Lion which I thought was impossible even though all are grouped together by many scientists . NO resto and don’t think it was broken . One-of-a-kind

Beautiful Gorgeous Exceptional 7.5” Dincitis Sabertooth Cat Skull w Complete Saber & Part of Other

Beautiful Gorgeous Exceptional 7.5” Dinictis Saber-tooth Cat Skull with 1 Complete Saber& Tip of other

Species: Dinictis Felina Saber- Cat Skull

Species description: The long –legged dinictis with razor –sharp sabers was the smallest and the earliest saber-tooth cat that roamed North America beginning in the Eocene Period 45 MYA -23 MYA . They stood at least 2 ft tall with cheetah-like habits and diet, and were solitary predators hunting an abundant food supply of grazing ungulates including camels and oreodonts. Using their highly developed saber-teeth they would likely sever the blood supply in the neck of their prey in the initial attack. Most skulls were about 7.5 inches long.

Geological strata: White River Formation

Geological period: 40-35 MYA

Item location: Shannon County, S Dakota

Item rating and description: 1-10 9.5 This skull is so beautiful , and highly original . Its an early Dincitis which you can tell due to size of 7.5 inches and also location that I know well. The sabers are about 2” long which is normal above many this era. One saber is all there but the other has ½ inch of the tip real with the rest restored. I’d estimate 80-85% original, which for an Oligocene cat amazing . The skull is mighty fine also with approx. 85% original with resto on some of saggital crest plus backs of lowers. The teeth on upper are all real including the incisors and canine incisors . Again the teeth are highly original and hardly any repair on upper except part of one saber . On bottom the smaller incisors and 1 molar & 1 premolar are restored . This cat is great. Restored minimal areas including saggital crest, few spots on top , ½ of one zygo , and one back of lower . For those who do not know that is so minimal . It was expertly prepped and rest of skull is totally original. I’ve had only had a few better than this one and expect this to sell fast. I sell 6-8 per year last 10 years. While some cats only occasionally show up, this is still quite good . Few people have these to sell as I do . You just won’t find them so those still expecting perfection will wait years and years and never get one. This cat has most everything- beautiful color, most original teeth, great sabers, excellent originality of skull and it’s open mouth mounted. What is the most amazing on this cat it was no distortions. The shape is perfect. This occurs only 1 out of 20 cats so this is great .

On all sides it works to display on nice display mount also.

It is really something. I looked at this so long as I could not find much resto. They just don’t come like this cat, so for you people who want a lot here it is. I had to have it and you will feel the same after looking at the pics .This worth so much more so no discounts. This is from a low formation which makes it one of first saber cats ever. 90% ones go for over 12,000 now .

Beautiful Premium 8.25” Hoplophoneus Sabercat(Known as Mimi Smilodon )

Beautiful Premium 8.25” Hoplophoneus Saber Cat ( known as the Mini Smilodon)

Species: Hoplophoneus primaveus

Species description: The long –legged Nimravid saber-tooth cat (one of larger one)with razor –sharp sabers and the second earliest saber-tooth cat that roamed North America beginning in the Oligocene Period 35 MYA -23 MYA . These animals had a lot of physical characteristics similar and exact to Smilodon including famous saber-guards and similar sabers while smaller . They stood at over 2 ft tall the size of a large bobcat, and were more of a group predator with a close knit families as evidenced by some hoplos found together in death while overall very rare species hunting an abundant food supply of grazing ungulates including camels and oreodonts. Using their highly developed saber-teeth they would likely sever the blood supply in the neck of their prey in the initial attack.

Geological strata: White River Formation

Geological Timeframe: 30-23 MYA

Item location : Shannon County, SD

Item rating and description: 1-10 9.3 Gorgeous High Original 82%- 85% Original Hoplophoneus Saber-Cat Skull 8.25”long with long 2.75” Sabers. One saber is a cast one original . The bone part is simply fantastic . Any cat over 75% now is remarkable. Cats are so rare this year . The upper is 90% , and lower is fine also with all teeth real except smaller incisors which is normal . This is one of the best cats I’ve had even though one saber restored. The right one I believe is real . It was found by a top hunter last year . It is so well prepped it is impossible to tell any repaired or restored areas which are few. The color, shape , teeth, bone quality are impeccable . The molars and premolars are real and great .MY prepper said so many great things about this cat. It’s not perfect but really gorgeous . It’s one of the most beautiful cat you will ever find. Due to rareness prices have soared for wholesale . The Bone quality is magnificent. This cat is the most highly desired vertebrate fossil in the world due to its resemblance to Smilodon and old age. The upper skull was just outstanding as I saw it before prepped and had everything, and stood out as magnificient pure shape and completeness including almost all of saggital crest. The lowers have a little restore in back as most do. This is one I won’t mind keeping, but it can be yours. An animal this good should go for a lot more than I’m asking now, as I’ve seen many sell for thru the years. I will not discount a pure beauty in nature. The size is huge as are sabers. You rarely find them this big but here it is. I have more pics if you need it. Prices to get these have risen as few are found anymore. No cast were visible this year at show as I had to call all my contacts and make arrangements before so you can’t get these anymore. I just can’t ever say enough about this cat . If not appreciated I will glad keep it for my personal collection.. Entire skull is so great you’ll be sorry if you go for a cheaper 70% skull . If you can afford this it’s a beauty. It’s for anyone who loves sabercats whether top collector or first timer .

Amazing Rare Pleasing Earliest Species Hoplophoneus Saber Cat Skull Highly Original - Oreodontis?

ULTRA RARE EARLIEST Gorgeous Hoplophoneus Saber Cat Skull High Quality (Est 85%) Original Possible OREODONTIS-

Species:; Beautiful Hoplophoneus(Oreodontis) or early early Primaevus

Species description: Long –legged Nimravid sabertooth cat (one of larger with razor –sharp sabers and the second earliest saber-tooth cat that roamed North America beginning in the

Geological strata: LOWER BRULE (Upper Nodular Zone ) Early Oligocene or Late Eocene

Timeframe : 35-32 MYA (Orellan) Scenic Member

Item location : Pennington County

Item rating and description:1-10 9.5 Great Rare Early Hoplophoneus skull-one of earliest ones 7.5 Inches long. It appears to me to be like my oreodontis skull which was earliest but it could be the first primaevus also . Besides being the second of earliest sabercats of all time(dinictis earliest) It appears to be a rare species . . The first species were smaller skulls 6-7.5” adults. The latter Oligocene were larger 23 Million years ago . This was found in very early soils so it could be one of rarest ever found. In rarity this age plus the high originality make this a keeper. This is stated by one of best preppers in the world . All teeth are original underneath, even though molars and premolars have been painted on outside due to repair which makes standard monitoring useless. The sabers it is believed are original to a high degree even they also have some paint due to faded enamel and repair . It has penetrant sealant which affects monitoring it thru standard methods as well as paint prep. It is so appealing as any areas of work can’t be seen . The teeth underneath the paint are all real teeth to make it clear .It was excellently prepped for asthetic purposes. Both sabers are repaired and some paint on small part for enamel but all unlying teeth are present. All the incisors are real 100% which is unheard of so 10 teeth normally casted these are 100% original with no repair that is so rare, and the skull uppers and lowers are amazingly original. The only part is a small area in back on upper sagittal crest , 1/2 of zygos. Even backs of lowers are pretty good with one very good originality. Its a simply beautiful Cat and should be looked at that way . While not perfect, actual originality if you include all bone and teeth is extremely high(Probably 90% or more ), but this is not a cat to be blacklighted due to paint as it won’t show near that high . I do know this cat well so the person who buys it is extremely lucky to get such a low price . If your looking for an astectically pleasing cat with high originality from all known this is it .

This is worth in my opinion after 20 years of working with cats about 13,000

Most sabercats are 70-80% original with ones not this rare so this is a treat. Some people say this was combined into privaeveus species anyway so either one is correct. This is an old cat so don’t go by size- The rarity of earlier cats is just amazing on this cat. It comes on nice display also showing teeth so well . I’m tempted to own this forever but will sell because have a bunch right now . The lighter color is typical of this time frame but its so rare so nothing is typical . If you read some articles some scientists have combined this into primaveus anyway but many say it’s a different species . This cat is worth a fortune due to quality and rareness so please don’t wait or its lost. This is called the mini Smilodon because it looks just like it except size. It is not close to perfect due to some painting on teeth and skull but originality is still high as underneath the prep is all bone . This could even be of higher originality but decided to price it low for quick sale for all you cat enthusiasts.

Price:$11,999

Reduced Final Price: $10,999

This cat was one of few I did not see original before final prep but did see before light painting done. My prepper says its very highly original , and what I can see agree totally. I lowered price due to this for quick sale . This could be worth $3000 more if all teeth totally original which it appears and also due to rare species so no discounts on this one and all sales final .

One Of Kind -  Super Rare Eusmilus US Saber-tooth Cat with Saber

Species: Eusmilus olsontau

Species description: The Nimravid saber-tooth cat (one of smaller ones)with razor –sharp sabers and after Dinictis and Hoplophoneus on geological chart which is believed to evolve from one line of hoplophoneus saber cat that roamed North America beginning in the Oligocene Period for only a few million years from 30-27.7 MYA . These animals had a lot of physical characteristics similar to Hoplophoneus Sicarius except for size , as Eusmilus was the genus for that animal until a short time ago . All these are small saber cats only 5-6 inches long with large sabers and flanges for the size which makes it look like a barbourfelis and a hoplo except for much smaller size .It had only 26 teeth compared to 44 for most saber cats and it was lacking molar 1 talonoid and premolar 2 on the bottom jaw . It was bobcat sized with lynx sized head and was built like Barbourfelis for size (Of course Barbourfelis is much larger ). Long bodied and short legged compared to others, and they ate grazing ungulates including camels and oreodonts. They could open their jaws at a 90% angle . Most of the info on internet is incorrect as below is correct . It did not live 8 million years, just over 2 and did not have a large species in America (only this small one)at least and one in Europe was bigger .

Euroasia and died out lastly in Asia and North America about 10,000 years ago
so it was highly successful . It was a scimitar cat built built like a modern
lion that had about 13 “ skull but much longer teeth called sabers . It was larger than average saber-tooth cat that
was very successful yet hardly ever found in fossil records .Complete Skeletonshave only been found in Texas . It looks like megantereon, however much shorter
sabers and less sized lowersaberguard and sabers reached to end of lower jaw as this one does. It reached 1.1 meters at shoulder . As said as compared to

megantereon, and gripping force . The skull was longer than smilodon, andmachairodus its sabers were relatively short. It provided a great
punchuring and gripping force. This jawhas turned down flanges to protect the scimitars. It has large canine teeth
that were crenulated and designed for slashing rather than purely stabbing ..Some of the physical appearances were unusual for a big cat as it had limbs
that were hyena –like . Forelegs elongated while hind legs were rather squatwith feet plantograde causing back to slope down towards a short tail similar
to a lion. It had a large nasal cavity opening like a cheetah which allowed greater oxygen intake with brain visual cortex large and allowed it to hunt
during the day instead of night like many cats . IT lived 5 million years longer than megantereon . It hunted in packs and not only killed mammoths but
also rhinoceros juveniles .

Geographic Time frame: possible Early Pleistocene

Item description: and rating : 1-10 10 X-Ultra Rare Beautiful Complete AdultFemale Homotherium Scimitar Sabercat Skull 13 “ long . It is 98% original bones and 100% Org Teethwith one incisor absent but naturally missing as it probably broke off in a kill or fight (per noted authority who wrote a book on scimitar cats ). The socket was filled with natural bone, and the lower matching tooth as less wornindicating the cat lost it long before it had a chance to wear down the opposing incisor so the pathology tells a story while this sabercat was alive .
I have wanted a whole one for years and the opportunity was afforded from from a friend who is a top expert on these creatures , and this will be admired by
me and ones who read this and never sold . Another owns this now and I’m selling for them . IT was originally from a German dealer a year ago . Mostwere about 13-14 inches long so this is an adult . This has shoter and wider sabers than a megantereon, as they go well past the saber guard in size. This is one of most complete skulls you would ever find with lowers. Only a number of them have been found in a Texascave and 2 in Florida and a handful in China and Europe . The great thing about this species it is a form ofcrenatidens but a different unclassified species that needs researched evenmore so we can safely say only a few exist . I have never seen another for saleanywhere in 20 years . AS someone who knows a lot on cats said the species isclose to Xenosmulus but different so no species has been classified to date , .Anyway its so rare has been classifiedunder crenatidans for now . HIGHLY ORIGINAL BEAUTIFUL HUGE 17” AMERICAN LION SKULL -The GEM of Fossils

Species : Panthera ATROX Lion (American LION)

Species Description : The American lion evolved from the earlier Panthera leo fossilis, which I have from Europe, and this skull is believed to be the best specimen ever found that old. It was believed to be 250,000 years ago when it first came to Alaska over Bering Strait with earlier lions as old as 500,000 years old even though only bits and pieces up to 350,000 years have been found. Also DNA shows this to be identical to Cave Lion so they are identical species in my opinion. This is the largest Lion that ever lived much larger than African Lions with skulls up to 16-18 inches over 15% larger. It is roamed in Alaska, YUKON , California at La Brea and Florida with traces in S Carolina. It is the largest carnivore ever except Short-face Bear

Geographic Period : Late Pleistocene Epoch 60,000- 10,000

Geographic time: 50,000-20,000 years ago

Item Location : Gold Mine. Alaska (IT was purchased from a Dealer in Southern Alaska Northwest of Skagway, Alaska close to Yukon

Item rating and description : 1-10 *10* Words really don’t match how great, wonderful, awe inspiring, magnificent this American Lion . It comes with a skeleton w a large % of this lion was In the Americas. The skull was purchased in the USA from a dealer friend from Alaska 25 years ago when all Alaskan lions were considered American Lions-most still do of course as this is . Now almost all people still consider it American lion if found in Alaska , but some research papers consider it spelaea species. Spealea is Europe so actually you cant believe all you read . Many items in google are so wrong . They still haven’t provided an American name yet so a top specialist said call it still Alaska lion or American Lion . After talking to Original owner the Alaskan dealer said American Lion , and whether found in Yukon or Alaska it is still American lion . One of my cat expert friends expert says only maybe 10 skulls at most have been found in Canada, Yukon and Alaska, and Florida combined with maybe 3 in private collections(mine and his included so maybe one more somewhere ) as tAlaska is only place for private collections they were found. No more in years have been found . American lions are from Alaska ,Yukon to Mexico to Florida to California. This skull is from 25 years ago so exact location is impossible to know except Alaska-line-Yukon border is known for sure. Its 17” Long the skull as measured around the upper curve from back of incisors to back tip of sagittal crest. The skull is so complete bone is at least 97% original. The American Lion to be is the absolute height of the fossil world as I’d rather have that as its rarer than Smilodon material, and I love saber-tooth cats. The American lion and the Cave Lion are one in the same even though some people call this spelaea because no other name can be agreed on by the scientific world. Until 2009 there was no doubt of classification of Alaskan lion but recently they are trying to distinquish this from Canada just miles away with items which is impossible to know . It crossed the Bering Strait 340,000 years ago -one lion and did mutate at certain areas. Some ridilous papers say one small number of bones found in Canada indicate Beringa Lions from Russia made it to Canada and went to American Lion . American Lion was largest species ever Beringa Lions of Russia were the smallest ever even smaller than lions today. Spelea we know made it to Alaska but I believe Alaska is America -isn’t it as many call it this which is also ridiculous as these are in North America and American Lions in Alaska are American Lions also as known by anyone who works with these There is no difference than ones in La Brea in charateristics . In fact they were the same size in most cases and most even bigger in Spelea However rarely are they ever found over 30,000 years old . This one appears to be around that from the color No museum, no private collector known has a better complete skull as this is almost perfect . If you have one send pics. The teeth were repaired and some from other same size American Lion but all teeth are present and real . I don’t want to even find fault with this skull as it was done by the nation’s best prepper, my dear friend who is the smartest man in the world who knows everything on skulls of cats. Even a perfectionist can’t find fault with this and who even has partials of this. You would have to be an unhappy person to even try to find something wrong here. I only see beauty and you will too I’m sure. To be it’s the best ever found. The originality is spectacular as you will never find more lion bone on any skull anywhere. Only crack fills and even parts were American Lion. This skull makes so happy as I can’t describe the emotional feeling of ownership of this cat. It doesn’t get any better, not even the first best original lion I have the upper that is fantastic also. IM so lucky. What preservation this cat shows. It was highly original from one cat but more American lion skull parts plus some modern lion used so no resin . You can’t even tell of crack fills which makes this so amazing . I venture to say this is the best American lion skull anywhere . It gets better –the skeleton was done by the same person and is virtually complete American lion from a couple animals the same size. It took years to get this assembled and 6 years to get this skull. Darker color indicates age or location found so this is amazing as this is darker than normal .Minimal restore and repair is all that has happened here. It will be in my collection for a long time even though I have many people would pay a fortune for this. Money is not important on an animal like this to be viewed over and over. You can’t even put a price on this as it’s priceless, but everything is for sale sometime maybe if a huge amount is offered in later years Ill relent. But that is years away. I tried to put words on this but this is undescribeable so look at pics. Simply Awesome. The pics are amazing. NOT FOR SALE .
