It was done so well .I can’t see any restoration at all. The prices have doubled in the last 2 years, and this one is even better and the largest one I ever had . They go so fast I expect this will be gone in a very short time . The great ones16-18 inches go for 10,000 now, so this one is worth 20,000 easy being out of Drachenhohle( Austrian German Name , and this is better than any I’ve seen on size and quality . The color, no wear on teeth, and natural completeness is really amazing on this skull. I will not come down on this. These are such a great investment as the values will keep on rising and soon they will be like so rare only old collections will be sold. This species is the rarest of the entire lot of cave bears so you will only ever see a few of these ever and they are earlier bears but even larger than European ones. If you want the best it has to be paid for because I did pay a lot . I found out only 1 dealer has a few left on these so better get it quick or it will be much more .No Cave Bear anywhere in any collection is better and greater than the original location many bears were found .  Species description: One of rarest of all sabercats . that lined in middle to late Oligocene , few in Miocene . They were up to 4 ft long and they were huntingcsmall birds , and small mammals in ambush . The claws were sharp and thin and could be retracked. and these were ancestors to the modern caracal but larger looking more like a leopard with sabers. It competed with Eusmilus for habitat. It had smaller sabers than hoplophoneus but is like the dinictis(except wider sabers) - like the pogonodon .

It is so rare Ive only had a few and Ive collected for years . It is 8.75 Inches long .This is your chance. One saber original and one cast . The skull is nice with restoration on parts of upper and also incisors . The sabers are more conical than the dinictis saber cat which lived at that time also . It was expertly prepared and has many nice qualities . Most of lower jaw including teeth are original at least 85% except very back of jaw. The sides of the skull are original and much of back . The only blemish is some of top is restored . I estimate 70-75 % original overall. What is great is this is so rare and it’s a beautiful large skull . It has nice lines , all molars and premolars are original . This is for someone who doesn’t want perfection but a nice looking cat with most of it original . Few are ever found , so perfectionists need not be too picky as just look at this as it should be . Few people have this cat. It’s a rare find with mostly original features that is beautiful to look at. The pictures will show how nice this is . It’s a real buy at this price.

 Species: Beautiful Hoplophoneus Saber- Cat Skull oreodontis-First hoplo saber cat ever (2^nd ever to Dinctis )

Species description: The long –legged Nimravid saber-tooth cat (one of largerone)with razor –sharp sabers and the second earliest saber-tooth cat that roamed North America beginning in the Oligocene Period 35 MYA -23 MYA . These animals had a lot of physical characteristics similar and exact to Smilodon including famous saber-guards and similar sabers while smaller . They stood at over 2 ft tall the size of a large bobcat, and were more of a group predator with a close knit families as evidenced by some hoplos found together in death while overall very rare species hunting an abundant food supply of grazing ungulates including camels and oreodonts. Using their highly developed saber-teeth they would likely sever the blood supply in the neck of their prey in the initial attack.

Sabertooths originalted here in USA and this was second only to Dinictis . Gorgeous 7 ½ ” Rarer Hoplophoneus- Early Cat Skull in Excellent Shape . Some people say this was combined into priveavus species but as a White River expert with others ts divided to another species it’s an amazing find This is actually not primaveus, and is a really rare oreodontis species that has top quality at approx 80% . The teeth are great on premolars but incisors and sabers are casts This is such a rare species I’ve only had one in 20 years before this. For a true collector this is a must skull . It was the early hoplo -the first ever in fact .This is an old cat and primeavus would be bigger . It was found in very early rock which lower Brule is. Repair on  cheeks , backs of both lowers and a few small spots own upper but top quality for such a rare skull . Even with sabers these never come around. All parts are one saber cat. My last one sold for a lot over 14,000 and this is better . Cat of USA are so hard to find anymore. Its almost impossible . If you read some articles many scientists have combined this into primeavus but the institute says this is definitely a different very rare species as they have only had a few of these in over 40 years , and its guaranteed a new rare species oreodontis so its –just too valuable .This wont be around again .This would go for $18.000 -20,000 if not for sabers so its a great chance to get a great skull fore the money
