Very Old (Possibly 100,000 Yr Old-Plus Old Specimen) Large 17” Extinct Barbary Lion

AUCTION-Bound or Less if Bought now below FULL EARLY SPECIES EXTINCT BARBARY LION –Possible 100,000 Years old (One of a Kind Fossil) Species : Panthera leo leo early Species- Area: Barbiary Coast Northern Africa Species Description: The Barbary lion of North Africa evolved around 100,000 years ago from the African Species of Lion . There was single population of lions across North Africa Middle EAST . Western and Southern Asia ad this species most similarly is more like the Asian Lion . It is the most magnificent of all lions in history as these majestic cats were a massive size bigger than any other lion ,and same size as the American Lion(except not as tall at 3.5 ft) and had the best and biggest mane ever that covered over half the body. It roamed over Northern Africa ranging from Atlas Mountain where the later species only dies out in 1921 and in the west Morocco to Nubia. Or Sudan now .The species I have is yet to be found as it was an earlier one but later species were above .It weighed 550-600 average lbs on males, way bigger in length on today’s lion. The manes were on the belly and all around and darker than lions sub-Sahara, which gave it a regal look. These were the ones who fought in the Rome Coliseum with a great mane and the best specimen ever found of an earlier species. It was believed to be 100,000 years ago when first formed due to simple auditory bulba in the ear stated by American Natural History Museum .I believe this animal is one of the most complete skull if not the most complete of one of earlier lions ever found. These had heads 17 inches long like American Lion and this one is no exception at 17”. It differed as having a grayer shaggier coat, plus the skull and facial was unique. Plus inner ear was different. It says it possessed a higher occiput in back of skull plus more rounded cheek bones. These for thousands of years roamed undisturbed in woodlands and mountains plus desert over a vast territory of now days Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, and Sudan today. Their decline started during Roman Empire due to massive use at game. I’m a lion man and I’ve never seen even 1 of this species. which means there are very few and this is 100% Original Geographic Period : Pleistocene Epoch Geographic time: 100,000 -50,000 years ago Item Location : Northern Africa Item rating and description: 1-10 *10* WOW Unbelievable Entire Barbary Coast Early Unknown Extinct Lion Huge Skull 17” Long x 9.5” wide. This was thought to be an American Lion, and sent to American Natural History Museum to a paleontologist and due to size and simplier inner ear it was determined to be one of the only known full skull of an Earliest Known Barbary Coast Lions . No other complete skull like this has been found to all knowledge and google checks. Due to dark brown color it may be the oldest species of when it first arrived believed to be found in a cave as the skull is almost perfect. The specimen was bought in Mass. USA in a flea market many years ago so it is so close to an American lion as it wasn’t Ided until sent to museum. It looks so close to me to the American Lion except for slight shape difference as I have one. It is even rarer than the American Lion which I thought was impossible, if it’s a Barbary Coast early species from Pleistocene. This skull is amazing. It was an old animal so old its teeth are worn down in natural life but present. No resto on the skull and complete except for some upper incisors and two lower incisors that I prepped on from a cave lion but even those are real. 4 Bottom incisors are restored. The one side of the upper and lower is missinga back molar but you can tell they fell out in life probably due to fights or dental problems. Remember canines are all there natural just highly worn .The skull is so good it has zygos, condyles, and everything. Also a paleontologist said this was a man-eater or should I say hominid partial apelike creature(possible homo sapiens as they were around at this time ) walking upright due to age of this specimen. Remember Africa had early man way before USA by millions of years. Not only is this upper complete but due to dark brown color it is extremely old. Even American lions aren’t this color unless found in Florida, as Alaska ones never get this dark. No one in the universe has this as it’s the best and most complete of an unknown unnamed species of Barbary Lions if correct .It is worth far more than this as its Pleistocene for sure. No restore, not even touched or doctored or repaired in any way except some incisor teeth added. I’m really speechless on this animal. You can’t even put a price on this as its priceless, but everything is for sale. Simply Awesome and a hominid eater at 99% probablity as once teeth are worn they can’t kill game ,only humans to survive. Anyway it’s once in a lifetime as I have now one of oldest lions of Africa plus one from Europe which is even older. Great Price for a once-in-a lifetime find. An American lion and maybe it is would be at least 80,000 this good. Remember the entire skull except only a few teeth are all 100% natural . At auction I’d have to get more for this specimen. This specimen was never even broken in 100,000 years possibly.I may have it carbon dated. FAMOUS DRAGON Cave AUSTRIAN Monster Extinct 21.5”  MALE CAVE BEAR w 100% Original Teeth Best of Best

FAMOUS MONSTER Extinct 21.5” Highly Original MALE CAVE BEAR Skull From Drachenhohle In Austria Species: Ursus spelaeus Species description: Large Bear from Pleistocene that was previously only known in Europe but this which was larger than size of a grizzly and lived 2.5 Million years ago -25,000 years ago in Europe with large jaws and large bodies similar except bigger than modern bears It lived in Europe at height of last Ice Age and hibernated in European Caves to survive the winters . One cave Dragonhole in Austria contains remains of more than 30,000 bears and many died in their sleep. It was hunted by Neanderthal people and was a vegetarian despite the size of teeth. They were found at many locations also in Russia , but now very few –only Romania . This specimen is from that famous place Geological strata: Pleistocene1.5 Million Years OLD Item Location: Famous Drachenhohle(The Dragons Cave) near Mixnitz, Austria Item rating and description : The most famous Monster Cave Bear ever offered from Drachenhohle near Minitz Austria. This is a Monster Cave bear -Largest Ive ever seen by over an inch with COA . This Cave Bear was found in 1902 in the Drachenhohle(The Dragons Cave ) Near Mixnitz, Austria by first owner Herr Heinrich Fischer. It was excavated legally and belonged to several private Austrian collections until it found its way in Nov 2019 to The MIFO Mineral and Fossil Exhibition in Austria at Korneuburg bought by aperson who bought it from . I have the COA with all info signed by him . SO this skull until a few years ago never left Austria in 120 years . It was also carbon dated and is $35,000 years old . NO bear ever was this large and I’ve had many. Its mammoth. Top Premium European Austrian Male Bear with Super Bone Quality. All Teeth with x-Nice Canines are original and an amazing 2.5” without root . Cave Bears are no longer found as this species is from a old old, collection and no more for years have been discovered. It is almost22” Long and an amazing 12 inches wide. They used to be found in caves all over Europe, and Russia, Austria but now all caves are closed to public. These have gotten very rare as only the old collections have them . Not many of these people will sell them so now demand is high, and supply very low. This means prices will be going up and up so this is an investment . This one has hardly any restoration just a little above teeth in front of bear and the best I’ve seen ever . It was done so well .I can’t see any restoration at all. The prices have doubled in the last 2 years, and this one is even better and the largest one I ever had . They go so fast I expect this will be gone in a very short time . The great ones16-18 inches go for 10,000 now, so this one is worth 20,000 easy being out of Drachenhohle( Austrian German Name , and this is better than any I’ve seen on size and quality . The color, no wear on teeth, and natural completeness is really amazing on this skull. I will not come down on this. These are such a great investment as the values will keep on rising and soon they will be like so rare only old collections will be sold. This species is the rarest of the entire lot of cave bears so you will only ever see a few of these ever and they are earlier bears but even larger than European ones. If you want the best it has to be paid for because I did pay a lot . I found out only 1 dealer has a few left on these so better get it quick or it will be much more .No Cave Bear anywhere in any collection is better and greater than the original location many bears were found . It’s a must for top collector and you will never see a bear Bigger . It doesn’t get better than this for bear lovers like me Ill gladly keep it if not sold but it will be quickly..No one has this big and from Dragon Hole. This is one of a kind most famous bear of all r found 120 years ago . NO one I mean no one can get cave bears anymore so this is one of a kind from top collectors for years . Even if you have a Bear you don’t have this one but you can . Price : Call (no discount) Only done by wire so call 706-235-2694

Special Premium Hyaenodon horridus 11.5” Skull Agape Open Mouth Skull Species: Hyaenodon horridus Species description: This was the largest species of Hyaenodon in North America with massive high saggital crest in back of head, long narrow snout, short neck and long body and tail. It was the top single carnivore although a number of Terrible Pigs could drive one off. This was the largest carnivore for over 20 Million years called a Creodont and it hunted alone not in packs like its smaller 3 related species . These creodonts shared a specialized dentition commonly found in meat eating mammals with shearing structures called carnassal-teeth. This one species was the size of a bear and had 1000 lbs of pressure per bite , and was more dangerous and a lot bigger than any saber-tooth cat of its time a loner).Male specimens show grinding marks on their teeth which means tooth-grinding was used as intimidation with animals. The last creodont went extinct in America about 23 MYA but lasted to the Miocene in Asia. This is the rarest fossil of the 4 species of Creodont by far. Geological strata: White River Formation Geological period: Oligocene Period 35- Early Miocene23 MYA Item location: Pennington County , S Dakota Item rating and description: 1-10 9.5 What a Vicious Rare Carnivore- The Extinct Largest Oligocene Hyaenodon11.5” Great Skull. Legs of Dire Wolf was shorter and sturdier than those of gray wolf and the brain case was smaller to than the gray wolf .This was the largest wolf ever and ate anything it wanted as it traveled in packs also to obtain food. Geological period: Pleistocene $30,000 years old this one 1 Million-10,000 species survived Item location: LEVY COUNTY , FLORIDA Item rating and description: (1-10) **10** SPECTACULAR DIRE WOLF 12.5” COMPLETE SKULL Over 96 % Original With Lowers just found recently close to where Upper was found over a year ago . I waited on this hoping the lowers would be found and it came true. Now presenting one of only a few in existence for top Perfectionist collectors only “the DIRE WOLF”-One of the most sought after fossils in the world and complete. This skull is really fantastic as the Upper is at least 95% original and one side of lower is entirely original with only a few repairs anywhere .The back of the upper is all there as you can tell by the lines and color of a little lighter brownish tint . The back of one lower is the only item that is restored except for a few spots on upper and one spot of front of one lower . I would describe this as an outstanding specimen , and with this species even 70% is very good as this is one of top specimens ever found . Only one in Florida exits, and it’s in a museum but not this quality. I debated to sell this one or not , but I do have two LaBrea wolves and will keep one for myself . This gives you a great opportunity AS you know only Florida, Alaska , and California LaBrea have these animals, and the University of Florida has only one exhibited . No other species of wolf over 11 inches long ever existed so for you doubters, it’s true . This specimen has the most spectacular teeth you will ever see that are an extremely high % of original teeth . The entire upper are all original teeth including all incisors and the one canine shows it broke off just a small amount in life so it tells a great story . This is an old male wolf with many fights under its belt . It is a spectacular color of dark brown, black and even a tincture of light spotted teeth like the incisors The lower has all real teeth except 5 incisors in the middle. It was found 10 months later close to the upper at same area and it matches as you can tell on size and color . Its mounted on a beautiful display well and I doubt if even 4 exist in the world today of Dire wolves from Florida . This is so special I will not discount as I’d gladly keep it . It does just stir me to see this creature just as much as my bear dog from Florida and Short-face Bear in my personal collection . Even the zygos are original which unheard of in any extinct mammal. The wolf id fully inflated at 6” across also .It was expertly prepped .Remember there is always a color difference in some areas due to matrix it was found . Even the teeth aren’t completely black but most all are. Anyway for you who can’t appreciate this you never will but for the few who really know this animal this is an amazing find .  Personal collection

This is simply amazing quality with hardly any restore. One premolar on top and one on bottom with one incisor on teeth restored and a few spot fills is about it. A little on back of one lower and a little in back with ears perfect. The quality is the best I have ever seen(except on Lee piece years ago) and is virtually uncomparable to any . IT is a complete skull .This is for only top collectors who want an item you can’t get anywhere on quality. Quality means I paid a lot for this, so if you wish quality you have to pay . I’ve seen some not near as good go for $16,000 The canines are 2.25 inches long and all canines teeth original. This specimen may the best in the world so stop your drooling. This is one of my top five treasures. The early ones are hardly ever found. Size is not important on this because it’s early carnivore as it’s still at top of food chain, but quality is amazing. Just look at this bone. Also the display is simply amazing as it turns around to see all sides, which is an added huge advantage to display this prehistoric carnivore (Yes pigs were carnivores). This was marked well over this at Tucson show. What a treat for a discerning client . Just look at these pictures . You can click on pictures for closeups.
